AGI vs. AP/CritFollow

Right then, I'm a 53 soon to be 54 Rogue. As I've been leveling I've been going for all the sexy AGI gear there is. I'm a bit of an AGI *****...

But I've noticed at higher levels(Outlands) most of the Rogue gear is STA/AP/Crit.

My question is, at what point and to what extent do I want to switch from AGI to AP/Crit.

Currently I have from gear:
+161 AGI
+55 STA
+70 AP
+14 Crit

I'm a Swords Combat Rogue.

Thanks in advance

whichever gets you more of what you want

for example

at 70, 40 agi = 22 crit rating in terms of crit

so 40agi vs 40ap/22crit, its the same dps stat wise, but the ap/crit gets no dodge/armor ******** bonuses

but lets say its 40 agi vs 55ap/18crit, then its a choice of 15 more ap at the cost of a lil crit (about .17%) in which you gotta decide what you need

in simple terms, take ap/crit when you like its turnout better then agi straight up

mongoose, don't forget that when you are in a party or raid, that the stat that is going to be buffed is going to be agi. if you get kings or something then you receive 10% bonus to your agi. in this case you could potentially get much greater benefit from agility gear. this probably won't be much concern to you until you start raiding, all of the 5mans are pretty easy and you can get through no matter what your gear is. as combat swords, crit isn't as important to you as ap. you want all of your hits to do more damage, rather than the comparatively smaller damage bonus your crit provides. plus ap will help your finishers like rupture a hell of a lot more.

kings is the ONLY 10% buff my friend, but ya.. i know i like salv first, might second, and kings third unless its a hp intensive fight (see maiden, gruul)

my guild still isnt a big paladin guild... damn traitor class haha

as for your comment 'critical hits vs stronger base hits' thats preference... ap isnt a slide scale, crit is... so at a point your right, but you need a decent base imo

and party buff wise

agi gets buffed by kings
LOTP does more for a ap based rogue since that 5% crit is a bigger difference

sub builds like ap if they are only 30 into it, agi fi they are full on sub

so i guess its more on what you play with and how you wanna do your damage, so like most rogue choices... its preference
