I tend to take everything with a grain of salt.

Some of it sounds reasonable, some of it sounds too good to be true, which is a good sign of caution.

Especially after they had pretty much released the patch notes on Curse and stated that threat reduction was absolutely not going to happen for Ret. Who knows though. If it does happen Prot Pallies are going to have some awful hard choice when it comes to speccing.

Lets just pretend these are real, how would those SoC, JoC and Crusader Strike changes effect you, tommy? Been too long since i was ret.

From what little I know, I'd say it would allow Ret Pallies to focus entirely on physical stats and ignore SpellDmg as a whole.

Like Bodhi, I'm skeptical about those changes since some of them just look too good. It seems to be exactly what Pallies (Both Prot and Ret) need right now.

Yes please!
That's another 1k health at 70 and not only a free 5% DR, but it also acts like a mana battery of some sort.

2H Weapon Spec seems like it would grant the much-needed threat reduction. Ret Pallies could also focus entirely on physical stats and the change in tier sets would reflect that.

The new spells would be tasty. To reduce an enemy's damage would be a nice addition in PvP. A damn nice one, for all kinds of Pally.

It all looks great. Just a bit too great. ;)

Some of that seems like a HUGE step toward equalizing extreme upper end-game tanking effectiveness between Paladin and Warrior. So huge a step that I can't imagine it's going to happen.

But, that just doesnt make any sense. How is any of that related to "weapon expertise"? lol. thats my *FAKE* flag right there.

My fake flag was the threat reduction.

Followed closely with Vengeance increasing healing as well as DPS. Blizz has long stated that their problems with Ret is a dps class that can heal, even if the heals are small. An increase to the heals with a decrease to threat = smelly.

gawd, after reading my OP for the 4th time i realize this stuff is so rediculous that it really wasn't worth posting after all.

i only use about +200 spell dmg in my gear. these changes to SoC, JoC, and CS would be so overpowered if i was able to concentrate on even more melee stats. on the other hand, i look to those abilities for their unmitigated Holy dmg. so this would be a buff and a nerf to those abilities at the same time. either way, they dont fit the pally M.O. and are silly to consider.

this is so delicious tho.

i appologize for posting this garbage.

I think KTurner's point is the most obvious sign that those are fake (or at least parts/some of them are). Blizz does have some odd combinations on talents, but at best I assume they would rename "weapon expertise" to something like "combat efficiency" or something like that if that change were true.

Sounds cool, but really doubt most of those are legit.

Ah, no biggie. They're fun to look at and consider, but yeah, too many of them just sound to good, overpowered, and unnecessary for this to be real.

That just sounds idiotic to me and as such makes me believe it's fake, why would i hit things with a seal that's only increasing my hit points, and judging it decreasing ALL damage done is just insanely overpowered.

Also, waste healers mana... for instance, cast SoP get like 1000 temporary hp, healer, not thinking, heals that up, then judge SoP losing that temp hp.

Most if not all of those are blatantly fake/contradictory to Paladin workings. Most of them seem to try to make the Paladin into a Warrior.
