hooray for those holy paladins!Follow

im on the ptrs walking around IF on my holy pally which ive gotten pretty used to my gears pretty lacking in stats, theres alot of +healing but only around 73 mp5 and 23% crit for holy spells.. not very good -.-

ive been playing horde on my regular server and i played alliance when i first started playing wow before i switched and i wanted to remember the old time so i took a walk into the room with Bronzebeard and a druid challenges me to a duel. ive never really dueled as holy only as ret and prot but i decided to accept thinking this would probably over quick since this feral druid would probably kill me due to lack of experience

the duel begins and im still in all healing gear. around 1800 +healing and only like 188 +spelldmg so for 4 minutes im running around spamming holy shock and seal of r and this is a slow process but we slowly bring each other down. he gets to about 35% heals and then BAM out of cat/bear form and i get cycloned and he heals himself

long story short this duel continues in the throne room for about 19 literal minutes of just whack whack whack spam spam switching auras between dev, ret, and conc

i start thinking of ways of how i can beat him.. my mana is pretty stable since i started judging seal of wisdom and having seal of wisdom up on cd and eventually i had to rebuff blessing of wisdom to make sure my mana wasnt gonna die on me. i call myself stupid and i whip out the big warrior favorite DEEP THUNDER >:O and although its sacrificing some +healing and mp5 im tired and just need to stun him so he can die!! this produces the same results as before with its proc very low and i even had to use divine favor with divine illumination at one point... still no bubbles used no loh no bandaids just all that i have. this cyclones annoying the hell out of me so i pop my pvp trinket in and just sit and wait knowing that this next cyclone will be his demise (i was into it oh yea >:O) well it wasnt

i pop my trinket after cyclone but i cant interupt it because hoj is down so in all desperation i say FK IT WHERES SEAL OF JUSTICE and omg it worked! he was back down to his 30-40% health left cyclone healing touch rej regrowth phase and IT FINALLY PROC'D!!! he was stunned with about .5 sec left of the heal and i just unleased everything on him, holy shock, judgment of right auto attacks what ever i could throw at him and that sucker was down to 15% then the all loving FINISH HIM pops on my screen and i quickly spam that button like theres no tomorrow! but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 1% is left and he is on the otherside of the room casting healing touch therse 1% left and all my cds are down to just give burst damage or stun him so i run my little *** across the room and i get that one hit JUST IN TIME!!!!!!!!!

woo i was happy! dancing in real life in the satisfaction that i just spent 20 minutes dueling 1 druid and i won! i gave him the honorable gd /s and then he called me a cheater :)

Agreed, I was dueling a resto Druid healing SM on my pally earlier today - it lasted until the Druid finally ran out of mana (and you know how mana efficient druid heals are). Our group was practically screaming at us by the time to duel was over to get going. I finally got him with a lucky crit but man did it take forever.

I was with another Prot Paladin in the Draenei starting area (I forget what it is right off hand). There had been a group of Horde doing some random PvP there, and we answered the cries for help. After taking all the Horde down, while waiting for them to come back, we decided to duel. The Horde weren't coming back, guess they rezed at the GY and hearthed, so we kept dueling. It took us 1 full hour! We got each other down to 35% health fairly fast, but then our Ardent Defenders kicked in. He'd stun me, heal, I'd stun him, heal, he'd stun me, run away and get out of combat, sit to drink, heal ... He eventually won, and the Horde never did come back. Had a nice chat with him too about tanking and such while we were dueling :)

Yes, I've done the same thing myself. We were running Tombs, a dude dropped out after the second boss, and the druid tank and I were waiting to summon the replacement party member.
We got into a duel and neglected summoning the guy for about 10 minutes. Stun, heal, stun, heal, bear-form, frenzied regeneration, trinket, bubble, stun, heal.

AGGHH!!

The other two party members on-site actually ran back from where they were waiting and summoned the last guy and started shouting at us to finish. We actually never did finish the duel, because the party was waiting on us.
All-in-all, it was about 15 minutes of dueling with no breaks, water, or band-aids for either of us, or LoH for myself. Mind-numbingly frustrating and time-consuming.
