Windfury timer???Follow

Now that windfury has a new visual effect (black tornado) when it procs, it's been easier to pay attention to proc rates. What I'm noticing is that I frequently get back to back windfury procs, say within one second or less. When I open my combat dialogue I see that it's a windfury proc from my main hand followed by my off or vise versa.

I THOUGHT that the three second rule for windfury was on a global timer for both the main and off hand, but what I'm noticing seems to demonstrate that each hand is on its own three second timer.

Am I...
A) crazy
B) finally noticing what the three second rule really means, or
C) noticing a stealth change form the recent 2.2 patch - if it's this one, then woohoo - no more OH stealing MH windfury???

Again, the recent new visual effect for windfury is what had me noticing this in the first place. Have any of you noticed anything similar?

uhmm. The rule should apply to main and offhand as a whole, meaning ANY WF proc can only occur every 3 secs. Hmm, havn't noticed fast WF procs though? Think you're crazy ;D Let some pro's comment on this, maybe they have changed it, who knows.

Thanks, SoAmazing... I'm not off and rejoicing yet. I only had a limited opportunity to play this last week, but when I noticed the black tornado happening back to back every now and then it had me wondering. Then, I flipped over to read my combat text and was surprised by what I saw.

I'm really hoping that this was a stealth change, but if not, then I'm no worse off than before. :P

If your using slow weapons this is entirely possible. Since you should be using weapons with 3 sec speed it is possible to get back to back.

There are no DW weapons that slow, much less that slow with Flurry up.

Thanks all. Theory craft aside, I'm curious for others of you to simply do what I did and see if you notice any back to back windfury strikes. As an FYI, my weapon speeds are 2.7(MH) and 2.4(OH) so back to back strikes wouldn't seem to be possible with a three second rule in place, and I noticed the back to back strikes more than once - not every fight or anything, but often enough. Also, between flurry, dual mongoose enchants, and Drakefist(MH), I'm rarely attacking with my base attack speeds.
