premed, straight up

old school rushdown hemo still pulses thru my veins, where premed, 2pt garrote, hemo, 5pt rupture eats thru warriors in the length of a evasion

I know it may not be in the spirit of the question, but my personal favorite ability is my "oh ****" kit.

I have macro that hits Evasion, SnD, Blade Flurry, and Adrenaline Rush for when I over aggro or get bored. It also spikes your dps to something absurd for a minute. Its a lot of fun.

Warning: The makers of the "oh ****" macro DO NOT endorse its use for all activities, including the following: raiding, 5-maning, arena, BG or anything but soloing and ******* around.

Seriously though, it was extremely usefully from 55 to 70.

SO I guess in a roundabout way that makes Blade Flurry my favorite

How do you "over aggro" when you're solo'ing =O?

Sap. Nothing is cooler than whacking somebody on the head and knocking them out cold for 45 seconds (or 10 seconds in PvP).

Ah, I apologize. I was referring to accidentally pulling more mobs than you bargained for while soloing.

@Demea
Agreed, sap ftw.

sinsiter strike! i luvs it. In fact the harder you hit the key the more damage your sisnter strike does. I've had to replace 3 keyboards this month

Right now Mutilate is my favorite. I love the spec and to be able to shut a mob almost completely down is awesome.

Dare I say this but Shadowstep is my favorite rogue move. Yes it is broken and not playable (I'm specced combat maces) but it is/was SO FUN! I hope they fix it and make it playable because it is a blast to suddenly *poof* "I'm behind you!" I guess with my current build I like my mace stun. Sometimes when you get lucky you can kill a mob without it ever turning around if that mace stun procs alot on top of cs and ks.

Mutilate or Cheap Shot.

Cheap Shot <3

I definitely noticed a difference in my killing speed and efficiency when I got it, thanks to being able to open with that 2cp SnD. The stun helps limit damage taken too, of course.

Love the Cheap Shot / Muti / Kidney Shot/ Muti Muti Evis combos. Taking down mobs 2 levels higher than me without even getting touched. Plus I team with a hunter and let his pet grab aggro, stealth up behind and destroy them. It's a blast killing them in 3 shots (or less with crits) :)

Sprint. The most perfect ability of all.

Blind. Nothing beats its ability to chain two stunlocks together. When I'm dueling or fighting 1 versus 1, Blind and improved gouge are invaluable to keep the enemy disoriented, and my rogue out of harms way.

Blind or CloS, by far, though BF/AR are up there.

If we count passive abilities, I'd have to say Mace spec or Safe Fall.

I'm gonna have to go w/ CloS. It makes me happy in my pants when I'm fighting casters and I can just pop Cloak and vanish.

change that to COS when you had to be 41 sub for it, and id agree

when no casters EXPECT cos, and you can prep both that and blind.... well... welcome to the world of 2 minute stunlocks thru people with instant fear :D

Blind and CoS X2 (via prep) would make Subtlety the PVP tree it was intended to be. Hell, I'd take their inclusion in prep as the 41 point talent (replacing ShS) in an instant.

Yeah....it would probably be too overpowered. I can hear the cries to "nerf sub rogues" already. :)

Mutilate is my favorite rogue ability, as I feel it had the best "idea" behind it going in. While it does have it's shortcomings in the form of poison dependency, I feel that they did a good job making the whole assassination tree compliment it.

Hopes for the next expansion:

1) That they make mute "the" high level dagger build. I want it to be as versatile as say combat daggers is for raiding. It's much more fun to play... but the poison dependency and lack of BF bring it down a notch.

2) That they get off their butts and make an attack like mute for swords. Not necessarily similar in mechanics, but similar in build synergy.

On that note, I don't really care for the way the rogue trees are laid out. You always pretty much have to take 15-19 points in assassination for any (most) viable build(s). Then it's like you can go combat with daggers... full assassination... or assassination/sub hybrid... then if you want to raid you need like a core 20+ points in combat... recently it's like if you just want to do anything you need 20+ points in combat... sub is really weak in general (but has a few great talents that sadly don't make it worth playing.

I wish it would be like... assassination was made FOR daggers, Combat was made for swords/fists/maces (which pretty much all act the same), and then we had a utility and general DPS boost tree that could act like the lower tier of assassination and sub combined. Basically, I'd like to make choices when specing. The only difference between the last 3 builds I've played (after 41/20/0) was the weapon spec... and the slight changes from dagger to SS based combat. Literally 90% of the builds are identical (even though combat daggers doesn't play anywhere near the same as combat swords/maces).

I'm gonna have to say Stealth. Yeah, druids get it too, but it defines our class and makes tons of stuff easy. Without it, we'd pretty much suck, IMHO.

You're absolutely right. I forgot that stealth was even an ability honestly.

Stealth is THE rogue ability. Only someone sith 61 points in sub would argue that point.
