Hey I'm a new player and I have this problem.
Ok so me and my pet both die... when I get revived my pet's not there, so I think I just lose that pet.
Wrong, when I try and get a new pet, the little 'You have too Many Pets!' thing pops up.
I can't find my pet's corpse either to revive it.
I tried Call Pet but it just says 'Your Pet is Dead'!
When I go under character info though, it says I have no pets!
What's going on?

How do I get a new pet now?
Sorry if this is a really bad question and most long-time players think the answer's obvious.

Just revive pet, you dont need your pets body. You could die in the middle of Gruul's lair and revive your pet in Booty Bay, and it would work.

I was just wondering b/c a healer would have to find the body.../shrug
No worries. I do dumb stuff like that all the time. (and i've been playing for two years.) Give it a while an you'll get the hang of it.
I'll add to this an old hunter with a problem question.
I didn't have my bars locked the other night and bumped growl right off the bar. how the heck do I get that back on there. I only need it about once a week when I farm or quest but still....help :P

Open your spellbook, click on the Pet tab, and drag n drop.
