Too much stam, not enough APFollow

I will be replacing two pieces of my gear for S2 helm and HWL chest soon which will put me over 220 resil I believe. The only problem is that my DPS will take a huge ****, 'cause my AP will drop to mid 1100's >_>. Should I socket AP? My main focus is PvP, and I know stam/resil are important, but where's the fine line of going overboard? Being able to survive while doing **** damage doesn't help either.

That is close to normal.

A bit low on AP, but it isn't far off. You gotta figure in full S2 you are gonna hover around 1300-1400AP and 28~% crit.

Make sure everything is enchanted. AP to gloves, leg patch, etc. Do all that, and try your hardest to hit 10k HP (your benchmark). After you hit 10k start losing stam for AP/crit while still maintaining 10k hp.

there is a growing belief that socketing AP over crit or stam is the way to go for arena play, because flat AP "ignores" resilience in the sense that your base attacks will be stronger, which benefits more than going for a higher crit rate (and its been mathematically proven that higher crit rates suffer more from resilience than lower).

so in other words, dont feel bad about going for more AP, altho whether or not you mix in crit or stam with that AP is entirely up to you and how your current stats are doing.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm really not in the mood to drop below 1200 AP. I'll try to sit at 10k and start boostin my DPS. (BTW-when I hit 10k should I start socketing with resil or AP/crit).

I personally don't have any single straight defensive gem - except my Meta.

I use atk, crit, or at the very least, crit/sta or agi/sta.

I've prettty much given up on crit since hitting 70 for both pvp and pve. Pvp basically comes down to stam (10k standard issue, this is first goal) then ap, then agility/crit the s1,s2,veterans gear comes with enough resilience to not make it much an issue socketing wise. Stacking crit seems useless to me(when raw ap is available without losing stam/resilience) especially for combat builds, where you just want the biggest white damage possible. And the more ap, the bigger your crits are going to be anyways no? Ap/stam gems are also a favorite of mine.

Ahh IC. I went on a stamina rampage and bought all these stam sockets. When I hit 10k I'm stopping there and working on my DPS. Resil will come naturally with gear.
