i....am hesistant....to join in this fray, but seeing as ive already been rated down for trying to explain things nicely...well, what the hell! plus im a warrior; charging blindly into battle is what we do.

what im seeing here is that the rogues have this huge inferiority complex, cant seem to do anything about it in pvp (which is my thinly veiled way of saying yall suck! well, most of yall), so instead they do something about it on the forums, specifically to jim (and, if i do this right, to me now...ive taunted them jim, start bandaging!).

there, that should keep the ball rolling along nicely.

I think alot of this comes from the fact that they don't even understand what I'm argueing.

I'm not saying rogues are on par with warriors in 5v5 hell it's not even close. Point being that rogues shouldn't try to do a warrior's job, yall suck at it.

A rogues strongest class strength is their control they can put on other players. Not their healing debuff and survivability, thats warrior country.

And the wound poison arguement that I'm mounting is that it's not totally useless as you seem to think it is. Yes it can be cleansed off by multiple classes but the time it takes to do so reduces the "cleansing" classes contribution cause they aren't healing while doing so, and it takes multiple global cooldowns to get it off, thus making it pointless.

Two counters to that arguement are poison cleansing totem which has 5 health and can be destroyed by anyone's auto attack or wand shoot, and abolish poison which can be dispelled on the target by both shammy and priests.

good thing I farmed up some netherweave quor, looks like we're in for a long battle

See my above post. We're being warriors because we can no longer be rogues :/

thanks shao.

what you say has some merit to it, and its affected warriors in some cases, especially vs our banes, the mage and the druid. resilience hurts us in the rage gen department, which means over the long term a lot of starvation. resilience for you guys really kills the burst damage approach. in fact, burst damage as a whole has really been killed because of resilience.

is that good? dunno. yes and no really. its a very gray area. but i can agree that the rogue, for so long the king of burst damage in pvp (even moreso than your old 3 MM mage), arguably lost a great deal of their "identity" because of it. the combined effect of resilience with once-unheard of health values further seals the deal.

can it be changed? i think so. but comparing rogues to warriors and calling a clear winner/loser isnt the way to do it. blizzard has shown they can innovate knew ways of skinning the same cat with the advent of the death knight combat system, as well as numerous other successes under their belt. im confident that something will be changed to bring the rogue class closer to where it was pre-BC. itll probably take awhile, because blizz likes moving slow in these things, but im sure it will happen.

I've waited so long for the rogue 5v5 viability threads to make it from the O-boards to this forum. <3

"Stop trying to be warriors."

BoP dispells it and it's on a 6 seconds cooldown. Can be 5 seconds if talented but no one in their right mind would give up the goodies in the fury tree for 1 seconds off MS.

Use a 5 mins cooldown to remove it, where right after a few seconds it get reapplied to the target. LOL..

Uh, Blowing a 5 minute cooldown is much more...wasteful than blowing a 6 second.
