thanks shao.
what you say has some merit to it, and its affected warriors in some cases, especially vs our banes, the mage and the druid. resilience hurts us in the rage gen department, which means over the long term a lot of starvation. resilience for you guys really kills the burst damage approach. in fact, burst damage as a whole has really been killed because of resilience.
is that good? dunno. yes and no really. its a very gray area. but i can agree that the rogue, for so long the king of burst damage in pvp (even moreso than your old 3 MM mage), arguably lost a great deal of their "identity" because of it. the combined effect of resilience with once-unheard of health values further seals the deal.
can it be changed? i think so. but comparing rogues to warriors and calling a clear winner/loser isnt the way to do it. blizzard has shown they can innovate knew ways of skinning the same cat with the advent of the death knight combat system, as well as numerous other successes under their belt. im confident that something will be changed to bring the rogue class closer to where it was pre-BC. itll probably take awhile, because blizz likes moving slow in these things, but im sure it will happen.
