Ok guys remember the lvl 50 rogue quest where you have a choice between ebon mask, whisperwalk boots, and the fall bonus cape? Well here is my dilemma- I already have Helm of Fire, and also Blackflame cape, the one with i think 12agi. Also I have a tattered leather hood (23stam, 10 agi and 10 hit)that I haven't equipped yet. Well I can't decide which one to take, partly because I don't know much about how the bonus on the cape applies. Does it stack with the rogue passive ability, or was the cape created before rogues had the passive- and is it really worth a darn anyway? Also is the +1 lvl stealth really that useful? I wish I knew how to link all these items from thott but sorry I don't. Sorry for the long post and thanks for your time.

I wouldn't worry too much about picking one. With BC you'll quickly and easily upgrade whichever item you decide on anyways. I would take the one that currently would give you the biggest upgrade.

He's asking which one would give the biggest upgrade -_-. But imho, it doesn't matter. Very true that BC will leave your azeroth gear in the dust.

I personally would go with the cape. It took a few levels (until 62, if I remember correctly) for me to replace it. The others, however, would have been gone pretty much the instant you set foot through the dark portal.

Thanks for the replies. I know this is kind of a trivial question and all this stuff doesn't matter really too much, I was more curious to learn how my choice in this compared to better players' choice, so I could know how well i really understand playin a rogue. Anyway again I know it really doesnt matter I just want to know how many people would take the AGI on helm of fire, vs the AP and crit on the ebon mask, vs the big stam and some agi plus 10 hit rating on the tattered one. Looking at the items on the site here and reading the comments on each, I see a lot of people getting the cape, just for the bonus falling. You may replace it later, but this is the only item in the game that will reduce damage from falling aside from a parachute cloak. I will probably go with it since it such a unique item and then perhaps only use while riding after I get my flier.

Take the cape. I just clicked 70 and I still use mine when I feel like jumping off something. For instance, in Eye of the Storm I can bolt out of the gate with the cape on, jump full speed to the bottom of the cliff and take only 200 or so damage. Not that cool, I know, but it is the only piece that you have the potential to use situationally after 60. To give a precise comparison with and without the cape (I'm a dork, I've actually tested it)- in Telaar in Nagrand (if you are alliance) jumping off the flight path landing I take no damage with the cape, 1000+ without it.

Rep from Skettis will allow you to buy a cloak that reduces falling for 10 secs. It's a little bit different, but it has 15 agi too.

Thanks for the replies guys. Gonna go with cape because now that I think about it there are several situations it will always be handy in- knocked off mount in skettis, the first jump in EotS, and jumping down from the LM in AB. Thanks again

My rogue is also on this quest and I was wondering which reward to take. Despite how sweet the mask looks, everybody says you should take the cape as the other 2 items will be replaced within a few levels. You won't be regularly using the cape (you may, in fact, have better stats-wise when you complete the quest), but the on-equip effect is quite unique in the game and can be useful in a few situations, most of which people have already mentioned.
