You could just check other topics, or even the FAQ's, but here's a suggestion from my side: 10-30: Fire 30-40: Frost Solospec 40-70: Frost AoE or whatever you wish to do later on.

Dunno if this is too old, but learn from it.

Frost AoE grinding. If you become good at it, you won't respec for a while.

i think that is old,and i looked at the faqs here its so ******* confusing because it only says end game specs. I want a spec for leveling till 40 then a aoe build, from 40

fire. 'nuff said. :)

The logical thing would be frost, as you will be aoe grinding at 40 anyways. You won't even need to respec if you put your points in right. I'm fire, so I don't know anything about frost. I'll leave that to others.

But seriously. I don't think the spec really matters that much. You can kill things as fire or frost, maybe even arcane (don't know anything about that tree).

don't know how to link my build. But I think it's good not to rely on others to show you how to do your build. sometimes you have to figure things out for yourself. I did. I just put points in things that do more damage :). There are subtleties in the fire tree though like the talent that causes scorch to cause fire vulnerability. that's more useful in instances, however; not for solo grinding. just use some common sense.

and really you can just figure out how to shorten an end game build to a half game build. just cut the bottom part of the tree off :). You may have to adjust a talent here and there. I already mentioned fire vulnerability. if you aren't going to run instances (and the lower level instances things die so fast anyways, you don't really need that), you probably don't need that talent. So if you go fire, just put points in talents that improve damage (either directly or indirectly). if you mess up a couple points, no bigge. Build doesn't have to be perfect as you are respeccing at 40.

true..... but last time i tryed to find out a spec for a warrior by my self i wasted 20g by the time i got to 35,so yeh if i research i wouldent have to spend money.I dont think frost is pretty good in the early levels because no good talents in area.I want a spec till 40 that doesent need me to sit down and drink alot.

there is only one way to get less downtime.
a bigger mana pool.
more stamina.
and maximised dps.
that means of Eagle gear.

Frost AoE does it, the downtime associated with using the built for single mob and doing AoE pulls is the same.

imp. frostbolt -> dps increase
elemental precision -> dps increase due to less resists
imp frost nova -> get to cast frost novas earlier needed for AoE
perma frost -> needed to get more bolts off
ice shards -> needed dps increase
piercing ice -> needed dps increase
cold snap -> CRITICAL talent, you will get mobs who resist your frost nova
imp. blizzard -> essential for AoE grinding.

the best thing that worked for me was seeing how i played a mage and then selected the best talents for my choice of style.
