Hey guy's I got this weapon when I was level 31, I'm now 40. How much longer should I hold on to that weapon. Also where can I find a good upgrade to it. Preferably weapons that I can dual wield.

Thanks.

Depending on if you're Horde or Alliance (basically, I don't know the Horde equivalent to the quest nor the rewards), you can do the SM quest chain and use the Bonebiter for a while (it's a little bit better).

Also, if you can find it (I found it without even trying, but my friend even offered 90g in /trade and didn't get anything), the Executioner's cleaver is a pretty nice weapon (I got it for 45g) that you can use at 43.

At 51 you can get the Ice Barbed spear from AV - though I'm sadly still using the executioner's cleaver at 55, because Alliance on my server suck. :/

Thanks for the advice. So there are no 1h weapons in the 40'a bracket that would make DW superior to that weapon? If this is the case then why do people preach Fury for leveling, if when you get the whirlwind weapon it clearly makes DW'ing inferior?

You got this at level 31??? I'm at 33 and having a helluva time killing exiles for the crests (the last things I need to get before summoning Cyclonian).

I will definitely need help killing a level 40 elite. As a human warrior, shouldn't I take advantage of the mace/sword bonus and get the Whirlwind Mace or Whirlwind Sword instead?

In my experience, dual wield doesn't really offer an advantage until +hit gear is readily available, and that's not the 40s.

I leveled to 70 mostly as as arms warrior wielding slow, hard-hitting two-handers.

I used the Executioner's Cleaver, and it is excellent.

Handling multiple mobs with arms while leveling is also pretty easy. Sweeping strikes (plus maybe switch to berserker stance and whirlwind if you have tactical mastery) works wonders.

The coolness of dual wield made me try it. But I found arms easier. Even in the 50s and 60s and at 70, when +hit gear is easy to get, the selection of nice two-handers made me go back to arms. Of course, all the pvp I did and do makes me very comfortable with a two-hander.

Yeah you'll certainly need help with cyclonian. As for the crests, if having trouble check the AH, they're not BOP and sometimes up there. You could also holler in Arathi to see if anyone else in the zone has some by accident.

Any of the choices are so good for the level that it doesn't matter too much which, unless of course you're specced into something. Micromanaging which to take for max efficiency has always struck me as sort of overkill. If you're just using it to level, any of them will beat the **** out of pve mobs for many levels.

I don't know why people preach DWing as being better. From my experience, it is undeniably worse. You miss too often, and Arms has some great moves in it.

As for a better weapon, my Druid has Blanchard's Stout which is a level 45 2-handed mace. Don't know if it'd be that good for a warrior, but it has +20 strength so I'm sure it'd be nice. Got mine for 25 gold in AH.

alot of peeps say fury cause you have imp slam, flurry and i think something else all of wich help alot for 2 handers. just cause your fury don't mean you have to do DW. personaly after haveing two warriors one at 36 one at 43 (43 my main) i find arms easier to lvl yes you will hurt alittle bit soloing on the no imp slam but when time for instances the lower rage of imp TC the better charge imp HS makes tanking alot easier i can spam hs most time even in battle stance and hold agro unless dps for once is doing mroe than me i have to go to deff stance. but with fury i have harder time getting the rage to tc wich i use to hold all adds to me i'll chain do it on cool down even if for once dps is actually assisting on the mob i mark. i had someone in my guild tell me they like fury better for tanking. guess its like most things in game its all on your play style.

This weapon rocks! Now, here's a question...

... can I pay someone to put an enchantment on this, and if so, which one should I get???

For those of under 40 and trying to get the mats for the warrior quest, get a higher level to farm for you. I use my 53 hunter, easy pickings, yet still long to get all you need.

I got rid of Whrilwind Axe after running Uldaman and getting the Rockpounder to drop....I think its level 44 but I'm not sure. It has high dps and have a crit bonus so it gets the job done. Just switched to the princess' mace from Mara though.

Great weapon. Having respec'd to Fury, I am doing big damage combining Battle Shout and Berserker affects with Slam.

Now the question is: which stance is best for this weapon? I notice I can use slam in both Berserker and Battle.

I'd say berzerker. 3% added crit is a noticable bonus, and I don't think mobs dodge often enough to warrant staying in battle for the occasional overpower.

Yes, I have definitely noticed a slight increase in criticals.
