my question is in regards to the dps capacities of blinkstrike and s2 merc glad slicer. i don't know much about blinkstrike's proc, the extra sword attack, so i have a few questions for those rogues "in the know".

1) can the extra swing make sword spec proc?
2) is the proc rate good enough to justify the flat dps inferiority of the weapon in regards to s2 merc glad slicer.

i'd like to know which i should shoot for, being that blinkstrike is more attainable for me. i know that s2 slicer should do more damage but i want to know how much, and could blinkstrike trail the s2 slicer closely. i put them into my spreadsheet and the dps difference surprised me--the s2 slicer is said to do 51.1 dps more than blinkstrike. i don't believe it though. i don't think the spreadsheet is taking the proc into effect. what do you guys think?

S2 Slicer spanks the **** out of Blinkstrike. Huge DPS gap, along with huge average damage gap. Proc rate is a flat 5%. Its procs can trigger Sword Spec and vice versa, but neither will chain proc off themselves.

Blinkstrike is a solid BoE epic, better than anything you can get before Arenas and comparable to the Spiteblade (think it's a bit better, actually). S2 weapons are just much, much, much better than anything else you can even think about getting without being in a high end raid guild.

thanks for the advice, i feared as much. better find myself a nice arena team. just didn't think the gap would be as huge as 50dps....
