I was proceeding to do a karazhan run when i was booted for being a DW dps warrior. Personally i think it was @(&!ing retarded considering i put in the time to get my gear to respectable numbers(a few pieces of kara loot-175hit 25% crit and 1650AP)

Is this just an ignorant person or does my gear need to be upped?

Sorry for bugging ya's- taking my chill meds

Your doing fine on your stats (I'd want more crit and ap, but those are unbuffed?). If you wore the same gear, what 2h do you have available?

Where you booted for not being tank spec? They may have needed a tank/OT.

First, yes tahts unbuffed- and they said they needed a dps/offtank (have tank gear almost identical to the main tank at the time) and carry around my sharpening stones/ crit pots/ yummy bunnies.

Here is my profile if it will help:

the ONLY thing i can think of is i was MHing sun eater- but is temporary till i buy my Vindicator's Brand.

yeah the sun eater is a fairly big deal because of its very low damage... also, try to stay away from daggers, they do less damage because of the normalization factor.

besides from that your gear looks ok... try to socket for more strength and if you can afford it, don't shy away from getting the blue quality gems. It doesn't seem like you pvp that much and the chest you have is going to last you a while, so slap on some 8 str instead of the 6. Also, instead of ap gems, ALWAYS go for strength (unless you get the pvp gem which gives 20 ap). This is because kings give a bonus on strength, but not ap by itself.

I see you have leather pieces... which is OK, but you seem to be concentrating on those more than plate gear. Those legs are probably the best dw leggings a warrior can get for a while, but the belt and feet can [and should] be replaced by the pvp ones.

Your crit is kind of low, [which is why you should get the 2 pvp items I mentioned]. You shouldn't really have to socket for pure crit ever really, get the 4 str/4crit gems instead. Also, def. get the pvp bracers, they're really solid until the ones off HKM.

for your other trinket, get the hourglass for more crit.

it seems that you're fine to do the bosses in kara regardless though, your gear isn't bad and fairly well balanced. It's tough to say without seeing the other warriors fury gear if you got screwed or not.

Lol dont even get me started on the Hourglass, ive ran BM easily over 50 times and have not seen that (or latro's) drop- its very disheartening.

So other than the MH and a few misc. enchants/gems which will push me up over 125 extra AP easily- i should try and get the hourglass without going psychotic?
I never tried to *focus* on leather it was an available upgrade at the time instead of spending mindless hours farming AV and if you are DPSing you shouldnt be getting hit by melee too much unless u bomb something IMO.

I just thought it was rather ignorant when some of the other DPS were less experienced and lesser geared compared to me and wanted some feedback.

Ty and have some crackers ><

if possible try to get the merc. gladiator weapons, with blizz adding hit to them as well as the other necessary stats, they're just murder... if you get the mh/oh sword you'll be good to go (since you get that racial skill bonus with swords)

Something else about the gear, and this is not meant as an attack, just an acknowledgment. You have very low str. I have about the same AP in my fury set, but I have more than 2x your str value. It's the leather your wearing (leather gear is subbing AP instead of Str for 90% of the gear itemization). And your socketing a lot of just straight AP gems over Str.

Just that aside, you have exactally the right idea for it, itemization wise.

Your spec, for OT is not right. You'd want to take 3/3 imp tclap (just for the debuff, not the threat) and 2/5 imp demo shout (not necessary but it really helps more than most people think it does. Mobs AP affects their DPS at a much more efficient rate, bosses get 1 dps per 2 ap. They also only have up to 350 ap, which 2/5 gives a 348 reduction, so your reducing their physical DPS by up to 174.) Just to be nice to healers. Imp charge is only really nice while grinding/solo/leveling. For DPS it's ... blah... imp tclap is much better points spent.

The secondary effect is that if you have a druid/pali tanking, you can apply your debuffs (imp demo shout especially since your probably gonna ride berserker stance tell you have to tank) and make them doubly useful. Otherwise they become redundant points if your tank has them. I highly suggest 2/5 imp demo shout, so a warrior tank can spend those points somewhere else (they can use the talent points pretty nicely).

Otherwise your in a pretty pure boss killing DPS spec.

I'd of taken you in, and probably made you OT even though. As long as you have 12k+ hp 11k armor 490 defense and 25+% dodge/parry in your tank gear, I'd let you OT kara personally.

::EDIT::

GD RUSSKI STEALIN MY THUDARZ!!!!... i must have totally missed your post. >.<

1. Sub in STR for AP
2. Try and get a non-dagger OH(have the enchants waiting to be peeled onto em)
3. Tweak spec slightly
4. Did I miss anything?

My tank gear is fine 12k+ hp 495 def and 18%/17% parry/dodge

Sounds perfect. But you still probably shouldn't have been kicked from raid because of it.

Sun eater is a fine OH. if you get the vindicators brand for MH.

Typo... of DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

o.O seems a lot of your gear is better than mine, but your MH and OH are really not optimal.

my profile (was on mount, so i'm missing stats from bladefist's breadth):
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Mok%27Nathal&n=Froman

i have a good amount more strength than you, 50 more AP unbuffed, and a LOT more damage (planar edge/guile of khoraazi ftw). seems you have a lot more sockets that you could've stuck 8str gems in instead of those 6 str gems. your unbuffed AP and damage should be considerably better than mine.

Russki, pls clear something up that I obviously didn't know about ... the Dagger ??

You say they do less damage because of Normalization .. I thought that dagger normalization only applied to special attacks (mainly rogue-type dagger specific attacks).

Before I respeced 2H arms for PvP, I DW'd The Planar Edge and The Retainer's Blade (both with +20 str on it). I don't run dungeons (my schedule never allowed me to), so relying on an OH Sword or Axe that drops in some Instance was never an option. I decided to spend my odd spare moment to grind Scryers rep and get the dagger for an OH to compliment my MH axe.

Now you're telling me, I'm gimping myself. Bear in mind that the best OH I can get aside from this would probably be one of many 71 dps weapons around (prolly the PvP high warlord stuff). So, is the damage normalization that much of a problem that I should concentrate on something else in my OH (for the grind to level 80 in a year or so time), or is it not THAT bad at this stage.

I'm starting to think that I should have gone Swordsmith for my OH and gone with Aldor to get Vindicators for my MH !! Oh well, too late now !

EDIT :: Just seen the poster above me, also DW Planar Edge and a Dagger, seems my thinking wasn't isolated.

For the record, I LOVE the rage gen with the dagger ... nice and quick and I regularily had more rage that I knew what to do with.

Last I read on it, daggers get a smaller AP bonus than swords or axes or maces so you'd do a tad less white damage on it... although this may have been redone or I'm thinking of something completely different, I'll try to find out where I saw it a while ago.

fast off hands are ftw, if you can get a merc. off hand you'd be golden :D

can't find it anywhere, as far as I remember though I'm almost positive daggers get a lower AP bonus... but there is a chance of me being wrong (no matter how impossible that may seem ;))

In any case, if you're a race that has a passive +skill with a certain weapon, with the equivalent of t5 weapons easily available through arenas there should be no excuse for you to get it. And in any case, if you're not doing any arenas, maces, swords and axes aren't too hard to find in kara (fools bane, spriteblade, decapitator). Then there is smithing items as well as ones from some heroics/70 instances.

Daggers get full ap bonuses.

Daggers get horrible ap normalization for skills. Which is why MHing a dagger is not a good idea for the most part. OH should be fine.

Weapon skill is a tremendous help yes.
