Trade Crit for Hit?Follow

So I finally went back to combat after being a Sub faithful for a long time. Other than saying I haven't found a rotation I like yet, I won't get into the comparisons because that topic has plenty of it's own threads.

What I'm wondering is if I need a shift in the stats that I address. I currently have ~30% crit, but wonder if I should be tweaking gems to get my hit or Agi/AP up.

30% crit is probably more than enough. what combat spec r u? probably daggers if you were sub...makes the rotation more complicated. you can do what you like depending on your energy and cp procs, but you should always have slice and dice up as a general rule of thumb-more hits means more cp procs and more bs's. hit is like the most important stat for a combat build. again, higher accuracy means more cp-energy generation. you should get at least 200 hit rating. other than that, i think general rule of thumb is adding agility, of course you should check a spreadsheet for the agility equivalence rating of your spec (how much ap=agi=x). adding agi adds ap and crit though so it's solid. being that your hit is probably low, i'd definitely trade crit for it--most of your damage is white unless you are stunlocking or something.

For PvE, +hit is the most important stat. More hits mean more enchant procs and more poison procs, on top of the obvious increase to white damage.

If you can trade equal crit for hit, I'd say go for it. Don't let your crit drop below 20% or so (after Malice of course), and try to get your Hit as high as possible. For PvE, I have two green gems to activate my meta, then all my other slots are filled with +8 Hit or +16 AP depending on color. If the bonus is worth getting, I'll do what I can to get it, otherwise it's +8 hit all the way.

You should state what raids are we talking about.
Try to get your hit rating up. If you have hit rating at about 255 and you have a party that will buff you up the proper way you can hit that 308 cap or at least be near it. Then go on +ap gear. Crit should be somewhere near 23%.
