First Blizzard states that rogues are hurting in 5v5 arena combat. Then they're also stating that some of them are even falling behind in terms of pvp. You expect that we'd be glanced over then while all the pvp nerfs are happening, but nope:

Quote:

* Sap: It is no longer possible to Sap two targets at the same time in the outdoor world.
* Sap duration against PvP targets has been reduced to 10 seconds.
* Sword Specialization: This talent’s free extra attacks can no longer trigger additional extra attacks.

Makes Sap almost pointless considering how difficult it is to effectively get it off. The only thing that's "good" about all this is they reduced the points penalty from 3v3 and 2v2.

Still, where's my "no reagent blind"? Guess we'll have to wait another month to see anything even resembling a buff.

all cc's went down to ten... and ill GLADLY give 2 seconds off sap i only use in half my arena matchs to take 2 off fear when my partner gets hit, or 2 off polymorph (why poly? cuz with 1 DR its now 5 seconds instead of 6... i can DT if they sheep into pyroblast now, instead of juuuuuuuuuust missin it)

its a great trade

That'd be good too.

"Blind Bag". Pay like 500g for it but as long as it's in your inventory you have unlimited blinding powder.

I wonder why you can buy Flash Powder and all poison mats at the vendor, but have to farm Fadeleaf or pickpocket mobs to get Blinding Powder.

I'm more disappointed that we didn't get the other blind change. Wasn't it going to be reduced to a 1 minute cooldown and 8 second duration or something like that?

Mainly concern about this, will this nerf impact the dps in raid?

Mage can spam sheep, why can't we get shorter cooldown of blind? :(

so the extra sword attack talent being able to proc off itself has been nerfed. Does that significantly decrease the value of combat swords?

There was way too much QQing about the blind buff. A bunch of mages and locks with 1300 ratings screaming "zomg overpowered!" I'm sure. It got changed back a few weeks ago on the PTR. They had changed it to 8 second duration, one minute cooldown, reduced by 15 seconds total with talents, and it was free.

Sword spec nerf is a very slight nerf. It just avoids those one in a million situations where you effectively one-shot somebody with white damage (I've had 5k damage swing sprees before).

As for the Rogue PvP changes, I believe they said that was going to come in 2.3, along with Zul'Aman. Things to look for are mobility buffs (probably vastly reduced sprint cooldown/duration or immunity to snares while it's in effect) and some sort of buff to sap. Perhaps no more in combat ********* Nothing better than trying to get a sap off, but missing it because they simply rush for your team and get in combat instantly.

I can't believe people still struggle with blinding powder. Blizzard increased the rate of this in junkboxes and now I have the stuff cluttering up my bank... and I use it like it's free. I have in excess of 200 of them and that's after a weekened of PvP

If you don't have a PP macro on your opener, get it. You'll never worry about blinding powder again.

As for the rest... yea it kinda sucks that rogues are basically getting all nerfs, considering how UP we've become at 70. I'm a troll too, so I get the extra whammy of having my racial get nerfed.

That being said, all the rogue nerfs are basically across the board nerfs applied to all classes with similar abilities. Lock fear got the same 10 sec PvP, warrior sword spec got the same white damage nerf, etc.

I have seen many warriors complaining mage's sheeping OP, warlock fear is killer, all QQ but nothing get changed lol~

Quite sad that I got my character transfered after it's changed back. :( Couldn't really test out how it perform with the buff. Just pray hard 2.3 really can give us some utility..

It's not a huge nerf, really. The bigger thing to be worried about is the PPM nerf and the DST nerf.

PPM nerf has been here since 2.0 apparently, and if that is the case, Mongoose is still choice seeing as it regularly doubles up for me.

I have only had the extra extra sword proc a few times, I dont think it will effect us sword rogues very much. yeah some times when I see EXTRA ATTACK fly 3 times on the screen I feel like I just got a ton of white dps out of no where but meh it shouldn't have proc'd like that to begin with.

The only thing it's effecting is sword spec combined with WF/Blinkstrike/HoJ/Thrash Blade.

Just to note... there is no change to Mongoose proc's. Works just like yesterday.
