Hey guys, I'm a 54 ret pally and was just looking for some advice. Without discussion of BC gear, which would be better for nice dpsing (I already outdps most mages, locks, and hunters in BRD)? I've briefly read that the pvp gear's better for that, but what about a combination of the two? I dunno. Thanks for the advice, ahead of time.

Get whatever you want, the second you ding lvl 58 the worst BC green items will outdo pre-bc epics. Also the closer and closer you get to 70 the more and more you dps will suffer, not the actual dps suffer, more due to aggro causing you to hold back while others can go all out.

Thanks, I know. I've been through the transition from Old World to BC on a different account. I was saying to ignore BC because I won't be upgrading this one to BC for a bit of a while.
get to level 60, get as many BC blues as you can buy. hop into AV 5hrs a day and rack up 200k in honor. when you upgrade, your gear will be waiting for you at lvl 70.
*cough* on the topic AT HAND, pvp is much better than lightforge. (It's nearly as good as judgement, statwise).
and the 'worst' greens at 58 will not replace epics, unless it's lawbringer or soulforge... which is also mostly better than lightforge if you feel like questing for it.
but yeah, as someone mentioned before, you 'could' just not get the 60 pvp and do AV countless times, get 70, and that pvp set.

Not the worst greens, but there are undoubtedly better level 58 BoE greens for any spec than even Judgement(which wastes a lot of itemization on lolspirit and resistances).
