chill effects diminishing returns?Follow

Can someone tell me if (and how) chill effects suffer from diminishing returns?

I'm been looking on the forums and I can't find a clear and concise answer. I'd like to know what the mechanics are behind it if they are bound by DR.

I am specced with permafrost and am wondering if I chill an opponent repeatedly will the effect be reduced over time.

Is kiting with a rank1 frostbolt *worse* for DR if you're applying the chill more often?

Thanks

I have absolutely no hard evidence to support an answer to this, so I'll just say "excellent question!" and that I haven't noticed any diminishing returns in my own play and leave it to the smarter people on this forum.

I don't believe chill effects suffer from DR. I know freeze effects do, though.

/agree

Chill is not subject to DR, it was frost nova that everyone was screaming about (and Ice Block)...

What are the mechanics behind the DR with nova? First shot is 100%, second shot is 75% (time)? Third is 50%?

DR is:
1st - 100%
2nd - 50%
3rd - 25%
4th - Immune

There is no DR on any slowing/snare spell, but there is DR on Frostbite/Frost Nova.

Perfect, that is exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks
