Crit QuestionFollow

Is there a maximum to the % chance of Spell crit's? It's just the other night all buffed up i achieved 33.33% but thought i'd be higher.

Oh and another thing what is the highest Spell Crit you've got up to?

Hmm... frost mage with winter's chill up attacking a frozen target... crit goes way above 50%. ;-) For a few seconds. ;-) I cannot even imagine the 50% crit build/gems/gear. I think you'd gimp your (giving away +damage for +crit) but you'd love the lightning capacitor. I love it on my frost mage, and he's far from a crit machine (especially on bosses).

My highest Crit chance was 118%. That's right. I didn't crit.

Combustion on a mob 9 levels higher than me = 100%

About a 18% base chance to crit.

Then I went and Crit a lower level mob with Pyroblast. =D

C'mon Anobix, you can think this one through.

Higher levels resist more.

Lol. So I had a string of resists that kept upping my combustion all the way to 10, Instead of critting. I came away from that mob (had a friend kill it) with 118% chance to crit, with 2 charges left. Lol.

I took it out on that snake though, (Level 3 critter). Oh he burned to the core.

Yeah it was a fun experiement! 118% chance to crit just looks funny.

CombustionInstant 3 min cooldown

When activated, this spell causes each of your Fire damage spell hits to increase your critical strike chance with Fire damage spells by 10%. This effect lasts until you have caused 3 critical strikes with Fire spells.

I don't think that it was that high of a %. It says right in the tooltip that it is only on spell hits which means that you cannot resist.

We had some casters getting almost 100% crit chances.

I cannot put into words just how much I want that buff.
