I have been bored to death with my warlock, due to guild reasons and lately RL stuck in farming loop so I decided to play my hunter alt.
I love her but she levels too fast for my taste.

I dont want to get to OL in 2 days and do the same quests for the same rewards like I did on my lock, dressed like a clone clown of everyone else my level, get into boring rep grind.
I am still not bored with Azeroth and right now my RL is messed in a way I cant afford to run any instance longer than maybe hour or two at most.

I log, do few quests, kill stuff, raise my profs a bit and have to log out. I dont plan to raise JC a lot, I just want it for prospecting, my mining is at the point where only rich thorium gives occasional skillup.
And I still level so fast... 57 approaching rapidly.

So basically I would like a suggestion what to do with my limited time to get my toon bit better before I decide to wander off into Hellfire if nothing else to mine.
I know the quested OL greens will replace my blues very soon but I still want to get the best I can from Azeroth while I still have excuse to be there.

Felstone Chain Vest of the Bandit:
441 Armor, +19 Agility, +29 Stamina, +39 Attack Power
Unyielding Helm of the Falcon:
347 Armor, +24 Agility, +24 Intellect

Beaststalker's Tunic:
370 Armor, +5 Strength, +14 Agility, +16 Stamina, +13 Intellect, +6 Spirit, +28 Attack Power
Beaststalker's Cap:
297 Armor, +14 Agility, +20 Stamina, +10 Intellect, +6 Spirit, +26 Attack Power
Set Bonus:
+200 Armor

Just looking at those 2 together, you have on the OL Greens:
788 Armor, 43 Agility, 29 Stamina, 24 Intellect, 39 AP
On Beaststalker Armor:
867 Armor, 5 Strength, 28 Agility, 36 Stamina, 23 Intellect, 12 Spirit, 54 AP

If you cancel out stuff, you end up with the Beaststalker set having
79 more armor (including set bonus), 5 strength, 15 agility less, 7 stamina more, 1 int less, 12 more spirit, and 15 more AP.
So basically, you would go to a bunch of extra effort than simply buying an outland green on the AH to go through BRS, Strat, and Scholo just to get stats that are barely better.

However, if you are tired of outlands, and want to do stuff in Azeroth, you could always create another alt and hit all the dungeons (me and my friend are doing that with a warrior/paladin), create a twink, or simply play another game for a while before coming back.

Actually if you compare those 2 small sets they have the exact same amount of AP with the OL greens having a little more crit.

I think if you really want to stay in azeroth i would still try and do OL instances while your at it. Doing that will get you great gear and help your future rep grind ALOT.

I wasnt really aiming at pre-TBC epics, was more wondering if there is something I havent done yet and might be fun and get me something nice, not necessarily as good as OL stuff but lets say good enough for level 57-8ish.

I dont think I would have fun making one more alt and raise it from the scratch again. I am simply looking for a reason to stay bit longer in Azeroth on this toon I like to play right now.
PvP is out of question, I dont like it.
Another game would take me away from friends that already came with me from my previous one... it was AO where twinking is the meaning of the game and tbh I got bit tired of it :)

Oh well, I hope I will dig out something before I face the inevitable and go hunt hellpigs.
Thanks for the suggestions tho :)

I did SL up to almost exalted LC trying to get Murmur sword on my lock. I saw Sonic Spear drop probably 15 times so far.
I bet I can run my hunter through there some 30 times again and see damn sword drop 20 times but polearm never.
I grinded tons of rep already and I know what it takes to get certain gear... the thing is I shudder if I only think about doing it all over again.

I simply want to have some fun now, like I have been having all this time while leveling.
OL and grind killed the joy of playing my lock, I dont want that to happen to my hunter too :(

I like finding challenges for myself, when I play. On my Druid, I decided to see how far in the Silithus/AQ storychain I could solo before I hit Outlands. Got myself a couple of epics in the process, and had some great fun down there. As a Hunter, you should be able to solo even further than I did. My Druid is awesome, but not nearly as awesome as my Hunter in soloing.

Silithus is definitely my next stop after bit of EPL and Winterspring :)
Yes, hunters are great soloers tho I am spoiled with ezy soloing already having raised a warlock all the way.
But meh, I simply love pets.

That was my plan on my mage, then before I knew it I was 58 in EPL with many quests to go ;)

I say who cares if your a clone of every other 58-60 in outlands, you'll level faster then they will anyways, and its just a few levels in hellfire where everyone uses the same rewards.

I really wouldn't bother trying too hard with Azeroth, just run around mining in EPL, get that up to 300, and head to outlands imo. You could always wait until 60 to go there, but I don't see much point, especially on a hunter. If you really want Azeroth gear try finding groups for scholo/strat/LBRS/DM but I know I couldn't find ANY groups from 55-58, people just aren't interested. I ran LBRS once, got a nice pair of boots that I still haven't replaced, but thats just because I haven't seen a quest with boots as a reward. Or bracers. Other then boots, belt and bracers, I've upgraded everything else in outlands, and yes I look exactly like all the other 60 mages/warlocks/shadow priests =)

But a few levels that will change, and it really doesn't bother me any.
