Looking for a good PvP/Raiding buildFollow

Currently I am spec'd full BM and about to hit lvl 70. Since about lvl 30 I have always said that when I hit 70 I would re-spec myself to better serve in raids as well as in pvp. If it makes any difference I am a Draenei hunter.

I know it probably has been posted in the past, but I don't have the hours needed to comb through the various posts (thank a messed up college schedule for that one lol).

Thanks in advance to all those who contribute posts.

The raid spec depends on your role in the raid.

Are there multiple Hunters?
If so, an MM and a Surv are a great combo that helps the raid.

It also depends on your gear a bit.
If you only have 400 Agility then your raid would probably be better helped by you in an MM capacity, rather than the Surv.

I don't know if My spec is considered good but it does the trick for me.

Keep in mind that spec/gear for PvP and raiding are not necessarily compatible. What you need for each is a little different, so the answer (not that there's necessarily a correct answer) depends on what you want the emphasis to be.

Finding out which is best for you will mean some research and/or trying out builds. There are a couple cookie-cutter builds out there (for example, see Aethien's pre-kara thread), but I suspect more people than not will tell you to go research it for yourself. It is really not a matter of A build for this, B build for that, C build for the other thing.

1: Slap yourself in the face if you are thinking you can make a build that is good for both PvE raiding and PvP.
PvP and PvE are a totally different game, and they dont mix too well.
(until you are geared out in full T6 and legendary weapons, but thats simply because you are overgearing PvPers by so much then)

2: if you decide you want to focus on PvE (that doesnt mean no PvP, just means you wont be the best at it) check my gearlist (link in sig or above post) for gear, tips, tricks and things you need to know before starting to raid.

3: If you decide to focus on PvP, go talk to Quinz or Theophany.
you can see them post in the main forum sometimes so you can just PM one of em...

I would like to comment on this aethien....

MY SPEC!!!

Ok, I commented.

My spec works very well in both PVP and PVE, High damage in PVE and the ability to totally **** people over in PVP is just awesome!

If you go Raiding Surv, you can pretty much forget about PvP. My own 5/20/36 build is pretty much the most awesome raiding build I have tried, since it really fits my playstyle. But it is also the very worst PvP build.

However, some adjustments of points, and you could get a good build from it. 0/21/40 could give you most of the DPS/Raid utility of my build, at a slight loss of full on DPS. With the right talent chosen, you could actually do well in PvP...

But your build isnt optimal for PvP (nor for PvE in my opinion but we'll leave that aside ;) )

For PvP you really want Imp. Concussive, Imp. Wing Clip and things like imp. stings and imp. arcane benefit you too in PvP.
For PvE, all those points are wasted.

And that is why i said that you cant make a build that is good at both, because either way you'll be wasting points for PvP purposes in PvE and wasting points on PvE talents for PvP.
