I'm told purge can get rid of bestial wrath. is this true?
Nope, Purge doesn't work.
Actually trying to stay in melee range against a BM hunter doesn't work that great either since a enraged pet means enraged hunter also.
"Best" (and I use that term lightly) tactic I've found against a BM Hunter, is to treat the beastial wrath kinda like a pally treats their bubble, so to speak. When PvPing a Pally, one usually trys to force them to use the bubble, cuz once thats on CD, their kinda sitting ducks (especially against a Shaman). BM hunters tend to blow their wad early (at least from my experience), hoping to try and end the fight fast, but once that wrath is gone...that kinda puts a kink in their game plan. We already know that CC's don't work against enraged BM pets or themselves, so thats a moot point...even more moot to use since we have no CC's anyhow :p So as a Shaman, I tend to try and "Outlast" the wrath phase by just standing their, "take it" and just heal thru it. Once its over, let the beating BEGIN, because their major source of burst dmg won't be up for awhile!
Its not full proof, but I've had a "ok" success rate in Arena's and Duels doing this, and this is as a Enh/Resto spec.
