Warlord set?Follow

#1 Sep 17 2007 at 8:44 PM Rating: Decent
Hello, I am a level 60 Orc rogue on Madoran. I am going for 41/20 com/multi as I have seen posted! So I assume I will need alot of crit rating gear?

I just bought the epic warlord sholders. I was wondering if these would last me to 70? Should I save marks and honor for venterns or high warlords?

Also, is it acceptable to raid in PvP gear? I would assume so but not sure.

Should I pvp a bit more and get the warlords headpiece so I can get the set bonus 20 stam?

What daggers are worthy of mongoose?

Also, is there a rogue mentor program here? I was just wondering because I would love for an experienced player to give me advice on gear and such. That would be awesome!

I have a vent (12 slot server) that anyone can join if they wanna give tips or even just hang out.

Thanks for reading my post and answering my questions!

Crit is nice for a Mutilate build, but don't ignore AP and +hit (especially the latter).

IIRC, there's a nice set of shoulders that drop from the last boss in Blood Furnace, which you should be coming up on. There's also some good quest rewards to keep your eyes peeled for.

No. At level 70, PvP gear and PvE gear are vastly different. PvP gear will have much more stamina and resilience, which are useless in PvE.

You'll be upgrading your gear so fast, I doubt you'll keep that headpiece for more than a month tops.

Anything below 71.7 DPS isn't worth the mats for Mongoose, but throwing a Fiery or a +7 damage on there wouldn't be too bad. Just make sure that there isn't an upgrade around the corner.

Read the sticky at the top of the forum, and all of the links contained within it, and you'll already know more about rogues than roughly 75% of the people who come in here with questions.

Other than that, browse through old threads that catch your eye, and participate in discussions. If you say something stupid, we might yell at you a little, but we'll also answer your question in the process.

As to your Armory profile:

- Upgrade that offhand dagger as soon as possible. Something with speed 1.70 or higher is ideal.
- Get rid of those boots! There are several upgrades for you as soon as you enter the Outlands.
- Get your Bladefist's Breath. It's probably the best quest reward in the game in the sense that you'll use it all the way to 70.
- Your talent spec is... confusing. I understand that you might want Imp Gouge and Imp Sprint for PvP, but going 39 points into Assassination and stopping there is just silly.

Respec and grab Mutilate, then put 5 points in Opportunity. Once you hit 70, then you can respec to 41/20 for max damage.
