MT/OT and PVP buildFollow

#1 Sep 17 2007 at 9:05 AM Rating: Decent
Hey guys, right now Im
This build
and kind of a fill-in MT but usually OT for my guild in Kara.
Since theyre super casual they only raid like twice a week, but thats ok because of my lifestyle.
Pvp right now usually turns out better if i use my tank gear lol and just outlast everyone while the other horde pew pew.
Ive done the concussion blow/mortal strike build and was'nt impressed honestly. Plus as soon as people see the MS debuff on a mob in a run they go I THOT U WERE PROT WTF /kick .. . . .so take a look at
This

The idea is to be viable with DW fury (more to my style of pvp, unfortunately though missing out on overpower) but instead to compliment pvp i chose concussion blow and imp shield bash to put squishies to rest. BTW shield slam pwns in pvp :D

Death wish, accuracy, and BT are there for when the MT is on and i can swap out for my damage gear and DW.

Let me know what you guys think kk?

I dunno. both of those specs are all over the place.

If what you are looking for is to be OT/DPS You don't need to go that deep into prot.

Just make sure your uncritable for most mobs (475 defense against lvl 72 mobs, 490 on bosses).

I would a suggest a build more like 5/41/15. This build provides the basics for tanking. Defiance, +20 defense skill, uncrushable, and last stand. While you have the full versatility of a fury warrior (minus impale, but that's usually only ~3-5% overall damage increase in kara gear).

Yes it lacks imp Tclap. But, on trash and 2nd tank jobs, you shouldn't have to worry about too much incoming damage. And the MT should have imp tclap, if you do not. Spec 2/5 demo shout, so the MT does not have to (even though their is more than enough points to go around to get it usually).

You can shift a point from d/w spec to imp whirlwind if you would like. 2.5% increase to offhand dps or 1 second cooldown reduction on whirlwind. You could even then just shift a point from precision, but if your still running kara, that 3% is really useful still. You want 8.6% to hit (at minimum)... With precision, you only need 5.6% or about 89 hit rating. Especially if your d/wing.

Check my sig for a general idea on how to get better at DPS.

doing DPS isnt the problem, and yeah both of those are kind-of spread out. Ive always been dedicated, if I was raiding I went full fury, if i wasnt i went full arms you get the idea. Add the necesity for prot points into the equation and ive been fooling around with some hybrid builds.. i think ill try out what you offered though. Rampage provided unending fun while i was leveling 60-70 so it will help for grinding the prerequisite blacksmithing money.
