AP CalculationsFollow

I know at 64 I should have figured this out, but even at this lvl I still end up asking my guildmates which is better for items with certain amounts of ap vs. ones with better stats. Is there some sort of calculation for this so that I can finally figure it out on my own?

If there is, thank you very much. :)

AP=2.4*str+agi (in cat form talented)
1% hit ~= 1% dps (not automatically, just as a rule of thumb)
1% crit ~= 1% dps (same rule of thumb)

Is that what you were looking for?

Sort of. I was wondering if there was a way to tell how much agi/str, whatever gives ap, you get. Say I have an item with +15 agi/str and another with 26 ap. How do I calculate the amount of ap a stat gives me?

1 str -> 2 AP
With 5/5 Heart of the Wild talent, 1 str on an item -> 1.2 str in cat form.
With 3/3 Survival of the Fittest talent, 1 str on an item -> 1.03 str.
So, with both:
cat form: 1 str on an item -> 1.236 str -> 2.472 AP
bear form: 1 str on an item -> 1.03 str -> 2.06 AP

1 agi -> 1 AP in cat form only

1 agi also -> about 1 crit rating
1 agi also -> about 1.25 dodge rating

I cry a little when I see druids with crit/AP/dodge gems rather than agility.

Get the addon "druidstats" ASAP.
