ClassTimer covers both enemy debuffs and player buffs that you put on yourself. PitBull can be used to see all buffs or debuffs, though thre's no timer unless you mouse over them or install other AddOns.

I know these are bad, and that this is a noob question, but how do you turn on portraits on pitbull? I am leveling a new char and it makes it easier on me if i see the portrait of what i am attacking, at least until 70. thanks

Go into the player menu or target menu, whatever you want to turn portraits on in, and there should be a portrait sub menu, otherwise it's probably in others or bars.

The 1.1 UI is almost a year out-of-date.

You can check all of his releases here: http://hosted.filefront.com/korz1894

For some reason, 1.1 did not have a read-me in the Rar. Here is what you do:
1) uncompress the files
2) copy everything in the addon folder to your <Wow Directory>/Interface/Add Ons
3) Make a copy of your WTF folder. Keep it in a safe place
4) Go in to the compilations WTF/Account folder and rename the accountnamehere folder to.... your account name
5) Go inside the newly renamed folder, and change the servername folder to... your server name
6) Inside the newly renamed servername folder, rename the charname folder to your character name
7) Move the compilation's WTF folder to your <Wow Directory>. It will overwrite your old WTF folder.(see why you made the back up)

Now have fun updating everything. I would suggest getting the Ace updater to update many of the addons.

Ohh I hope the addons used are updated by the maker, because if not that would cause me big problems...I think. Thanks for the help PsiChi.

Here is my latest UI. I know Psi and Theo both suggest hiding the action bars and FuBar, but I feel so empty without them. The two bars over the main block are my daily bars, and typically I do hide them when doing other stuff I just forgot. I really like Xperl now that I have gotten used to it and I like the Raid package and the target of targets target and so on. Very useful stuff when in a raid.

**Edit - posted the image on photbucket for hotlink goodness.

The image was banned?

You may want to look in to QBar for your daily items.

It will dynamically make a bar to hold all quest items.

Copy and past into a new window/tab. For some reason they have banned Alla from direct linking.

I will check that out when I get home Psi. Thanks for the suggestion. Also, would a "posses" bar in Bongos3 do the same thing, as in only show the bar if I have the item?

The odd server link they had was the problem.

I do not know about the possess bar. I always thought that was for things like Mind Control (or some Raid encounters).

As for the UI...

• Hide Fubar. If something is important enough to need to constantly see, then it should have a place on the screen.
• If you want action barsm fine. You dont need that many... Really?! ~35% of your screen is action bars. Bongos and Bartender allow you to set bar paging, use it.
• Hide the bag bar. You have a bag mod, that should open everything at once
• Do you need a DPS meter and Omen up at the same time?
• Move your stats either to fubar or above your chat frame
• Hide the menu bar. All that should be keybound. Most of those things are in your fubar anyway
• Pick a better skin for your action bars. Smiley: oyvey
• The warriors target window is a bit redundant. The warrior > target > ToT seems unnecessary.
• Get something like SimpleMiniMap to clean up the default map

I haven't posted my UI for a while. This is what I have been tweaking lately.

Inactive, targeting an NPC. Cooldowns shown between health bars. Buffs in upper right hand corner. Fubar shown simply for illustration (normally hidden).
i4.photobucket.com/albums/y143/dgqfan/ScreenShot_060308_213312.jpg

Highlighting more buffs, bag and waypoint placement. Weapon buffs are below my unit frame. The buttons under the cooldowns are dynamically created buttons for quest items.
i4.photobucket.com/albums/y143/dgqfan/ScreenShot_060308_214002.jpg

In combat. SCT, enemy cast bad on top of their frame (alerts sent to SCT when casting starts). My combo points on them displayed on their name plate (and sent to SCT).

As you can see, there are still some issues to be resolved. The tracking button on the minimap needs to be moved to fubar. The map itself needs to align with something. I am considering moving the map to the upper right and the buffs to the lower right. As it stands now, the buffs feel rather disconnected. I would like them near my nameplate, but I have the weapon buffs under my unit frame, debuffs on my above my unit frame (with additional bars for flight time, casting time, and dot tracking).

I will try to get a few SS when I run arena this week so the rest of the UI can be seen.

Pretty slick Psi. Another question on yours, what's that little twig looking thing over your target's unit frame? The bottom center bar with the razorthorn pouch is Qbar I am assuming. And, finally, how did you seprate out your weapon buffs from regular buffs? Is that in XPerl or Buffalo?

Pretty slick, and a lot more empty than mine! =p

1) Xperl's 30 yard indicator. If that icon (it's actually a hand) is there, then the target is 30+ yards away.

2) Probably.

3) Buffalo. He's not using a skin from CyCircled, unlike my normal use of Buffalo.

I can't stand anything other than the default way of showing outgoing damage. Partly because I've used it for years, partly because I really don't care what is causing the damage to them (in the few cases I don't know anyway), partly because it looks much cooler and because I play a ranged class as well.

Apart from that I like it, Mik's SBT is pretty good. Like the clean look.

1) yes
2) yes
3) Using the included default weapon buff option they have. I wanted them separate from the other buffs.

Ah. Buffalo has a separate movable weapon buff timer, that's why I thought you were using it. Smiley: tongue

yeah, that was the only way I could get it work right. For some reason something wasn't playing nice between Xperl and Buffalo. For a while Xperl was adding the default Bliz buffs back in.

I put a lot of work in it, because I'm pretty bad with this kind of things and it's not finished.
I only used sct, trinity bars instead of bongos, pitbull that is too damn complicated but powerful as well and a chat modifier addon.

Any tips and tricks ?

Any tips and tricks ?

Get a minimap mod to reshape the map and get rid of the top Bliz bar

Get Fubar and move all the icons around your minimap to there (remember to set the bar to only show when you mouse over it)

Find a better way to arrange the unit frames. Everything is all nimbly-pimbly right now. And do you really need Target's Target and Target's Target's Target?
#223 Jun 04 2008 at 1:06 PM Rating: Decent
Your saying that I don't need the target's target ?! Because the other one is the focus and focus target.

No, I was saying you need to clean the clusterf*ck that is your unit frames.

Juice by you if they make sense to you, but when I looked at it, I thought it was
Your frame -> focus
               |
               -> Target ->ToT
                            |
                            ->ToToT

Does yout Focus target or your ToT need to exist?

When you are leveling, do you really need a ToT? Wouldnt that be you?

Updated it a bit more to PsiChi's suggestions. I still can't bring myself to hide Fubar, it doesn't like to stay long enough for me to switch between my upper and lower bars and get info, but other than that the clean look is growing on me. Thanks for the heads up on QBar as well.

Move one to the bottom... duh Smiley: tongue

Does Fubar allow you to change the delay before it hides itself again? You could always delve in to the LUA and see if you could change it.
