I've been playing around with most of the mods you suggested, Theo, and so far I've been very pleased. However, the one thing that still irks me is that quest tracking text follows the minimap, but it's right justified to the right edge of the map, so when my minimap is on the left side of my screen, the text is often off the left edge.

Is there any way to move the quest tracking text around, or to change the justification to left justified?

If you don't have my WTF files, right click the minimap and enable the "movers" and unlock the minimap. You should see a lot of transparent boxes that you can move around that will show a tooltip of what they are when you mouse over them.

Quick question, for the chat bars, how do I enable the option to SEE what I'm typing. It's rather frustrating to start typing and have no clue what I've typed.

Go to the Prat icon on FuBar, right click, go to the Modules section, find the Editbox module, and under the "Set Position" section, choose bottom or top.

Fantastic, got it to work. Thanks.

I do have some questions. I want to move the casting bar, the cooldown icons, and the "remaining flight time" bars, but I have no idea which mod those belong to.

Also, what did you use for you CC watcher? Thanks man. Loving the mods so far!

Just uno question senior, http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd149/Pwnzage/WoWScrnShot_092207_193536.jpg

When I target people I can't see their hp or anything about them. >>

Also, this happens when I log on.

Casting is Quartz, cooldowns are Cooling.

There is no "CC watcher". There are EBB bars that show target debuffs specific to rogues, but they will not track when you switch targets.

That doesn't look like my UI.

If you're loading my WTF files for Pitbull, I doubt they will work with a resolution that small, since they're fairly low on my screen and your resolution is considerably smaller than the one I use.

The error is probably due to mismatched versions of addons. Try updating the addons, or try disabling the addon that's giving you the error, one by one, until you can log on without the error popping up. Once you don't get an error, the last addon you disabled was the problem.

Weird, why doesn't it look like your UI >_>.

Also, when I use CD's their cooldown remaining disturbs my chatbar.

It doesn't look like my UI because your monitor isn't large enough to use my WTF files. The resolution I play on is 1680x1050, and your monitor is 1024x768. The WTF files hold their pixel position regardless of what size your monitor is, thus almost half of my UI is off of your screen.

When I make my action bars invisible (0 opacity), I can't use the moves anymore.

Sorry to ask yet another question. hopefully this will be my last. I'm having problems with cartographer. I try to use it, but it seems like no features, or options are available. I don't know how to get it to work. Does one of the mods included interrupt it? If not, how do I access the options and features for it?

I've tried deleting it and reinstalling it. Nothing.

Also how do you get rid of that stupid questwatcher frame?

Dont bind your buttons to the action bars if you want to turn then invisible, but instead bind them to individual skills in your spell book (P).

No, no mods interrupt cartographer. The options are listed either in the cartographer frame (M), or in the cratographer menu (in the RockLib menu).

The "stupid quest watcher" is part of smipleMinimap. You can't disable it unless you download MonkeyQuest or a similar addon.

I was using MazzleUI, but I realized you are right, Theo. There is no need to waste all that space, and I don't really need a ton of info to do my job. Problem is, I can't use eePanels or Pitbull to save my life, and I can't find any online instructions. Where did you learn how to use them?

Auto-hide the top Fubar, get rid of the multiple FPS trackers, hide the anchor of EBB, get rid of DamageMeters as it's a crappy addon, hide your keyring, scale your bongos bar so that it's smaller, and hide minimap icons, including the default zoom buttons and the time button.

Also, set up a theme with fonts and textures to make your UI seem like one piece rather than just 16 different addons thrown together.

I personally used the Healbot texture and the Bignoodletilting font for my UI and MyriadPro for the chat text. It brings the UI together and gives it a clean finish.

ClearFont2 and right click the tab at the top of the chat box and unlock it, then click and drag the chat box by the tab.

You can resize it by dragging the edges, too.

Better, but you still have too much crap showing (hide that EBB anchor in the top right!).

You still need a unifying font (usually the one that you use for SCT) and texture; on your EBB right now, you're using the Blizz default and on your Pitbull I'm seeing Cilo's (could also be Otravi, they look very similar).

Try downloading cyCircled from wowace to make your bongos bar not as boring, and for god's sake, get rid of KTM. Use Omen if you're going to be raiding, but you shouldn't need Omen for 5 mans.

edit: Also, you need to move some of your minimap buttons onto Fubar and auto-hide Fubar. I see Bongos, Clearfont2, and a few others. Download simpleMinimap, find the slash commands to work those after putting as many as possible on Fubar (I think I see metamap and gatherer icons, if so, get rid of them and download cartographer), and start hiding stuff like the coordinates, zoom buttons, location bar, day/night icon, etc. I should be able to see just a round minimap with nothing going around it.

It's definitely a start, and it's useable, but it's nowhere near polished.

Problem: sometimes pitbull scrambles textures. IE, my target's health bar changes from its normal gradient to a very distorted version of the blind icon. Also the combo point counter for pitbull will break, and instead of sitting stationary the points slide across the bar like the glowing line in the energy timer.

This seems to happen only after I have tabbed out to look something up. Have you seen this before? Is there a fix?

Actually as far as I can tell, none of it did. I just updated Bongos yesterday, and everything is peachy.

I still need to log onto my priest and my warrior alts, but I'm assuming that since my rogue is alright, they are too.

Usually I just wait to see what breaks, but I was on my warrior yesterday and my Bongos ****** up badly.

As in, couldn't see any bars, couldn't make any bars visible, and couldn't unlock any bars.

No idea why it did that, but I found out my Bongos was like 2 months out of date. Smiley: grin
