Apologies if I'm being thick, but with Pitbull, is there any way to view and arrange all the unit frames without actually having any party members, targets, etc?

Right click on the Pitbull icon, go to Configuration mode, and select "Party."

This will bring up all of the potential party frames and allow you to move them around.

That looks really good Theo... any way to just 'download it'? Don't really want to download 5-7 different UI and spend a whole evening figuring it out :P.

Main problem with UI... I've yet to find a 'package' I like, but at the same time, I don't want to spend to much time configuring it.

I'm trying to avoid making anyone wait while I mess with my UI the next time I run an instance. I can get some stuff sorted just by grouping with a guildmate while they fight, but it probably won't get everything.

Great guide, BTW, loads of good stuff there :)

If you're still using the old non-RockLib version of Pitbull, there should either be an icon on your minimap, or somewhere on FuBar if you have it. Shift-click that icon until the tooltip reads "Configuration Mode: Party" or "Raid" and you can edit the frames from there.

If you're using the RockLib version, type /rock, then click the Pitbull menu on the side. There should be a drop-down menu with the option to configure by raid or by party.

I'm working on a filefront download today. It'll be packaged for a 1680x1050 resolution, but moving things around a bit shouldn't be to hard. I'll even write up instructions on how to do it. Since the eepanels are parented, really all you'd have to do it move everything to the right place, which would take less than 5 minutes.

UI is currently packaged and uploading to filefront. I'll post a link when it's done.

edit: And here it is, the fruit of all my labor, child of my thoughts and brain power (lord that speaks kinda pathetically for my brain, huh?): Theo's UI Compilation v1.1!

There's a readme file at the very beginning that will tell you how to go about installing it.

Feedback is welcome, as are questions.

ninja edit: here is the version of my UI that was uploaded, before everyone panics that I didn't upload the right version.

I can give details as to how to get it to look like my old UI if anyone prefers, but I rather like this new version, hence why I uploaded it.

And there was much rejoicing amongst the rogue's who wish to have a nice clean interface but not the UI skills to create it.

I read this yesterday and saw your UI and hoped this would be what happened but didn't expect it so fast.

Thank you.

Your character names show up in the profiles in case you care.

Doesn't matter to me.

Tyr- could you be more specific? I'd like to fix the problem if I can and update the download.

Actually got it downloaded...

Can't really do much of anything, I can move the bar around, but I get various error message while doing stuff.

I also get a weird yellow blot in the middle of my screen whenever I select something.

What resolution are you running at?

I'm going to be uploading a new version with updated WTF folders and a nice raid setup that you can enable in Pitbull, should you feel so inclined.

I think I may have fixed some problems in the most recent version, but I'm not totally sure.

Let me know if anyone encounters any problems. If you can get screenshots of the problems, I'd appreciate it.

The latest one cleared up my problems, and is looking good.

One question though, I'm used to metamap instead of cartographer and have coordinates in it already. Does anyone know if you can transfer that accross?

Also, I didn't see it in the settings, but can you turn on the coordinates in cartographer and set waypoints?

I don't know about transferring coords, but pretty much everything in cartographer is done by right-clicking the map frame or clicking the cartographer button near the top of the frame.

edited because when i'm drinking i think much faster than i can type

Thanks Theo, I'm not seeing where you can import coordinates but its no big deal, I found how to do the rest.

Damn its 1am and I have to get up at 6, I better go to sleep.

I have it all configured to where I like it much better now than what I using before. Somehow I turned on a addon memory usage meter in my upper right hand corner that in bigger text than I'd like shows FPS, MB used from addons, and latency. Once I figure out how to remove that this is perfect for my use after some tweaking (I'm still a lowbie leveling up, so I added questfu, and turned on the xp bar (or modified it, maybe it was on already).

I'm feeling grown up already after this week, no more keyboard turning, no more clicking, and now a nice clean interface.

w00t.

Theo, if I load your mod will it cause my girlfriend to have a panic attack when she goes to play on her toon?

Same pc and all.

Edit: Yes Eon. Of course it will. You're an idiot. I hope you die. Read the readme file.

My first experience with it not working well kinda turned me off Theo.

Instead I figured I'd take some time away from my busy busy primal farming (fun!) to actually get some of the mods you've listed up there. One by one. That way I can understand what they do instead of having an explosion of new stuff.

Really digging bongos2 and Elkano's BuffBars.

Theo put a lot of work into making that, and that's how you thank him.

I can understand why you're doing it one by one, but I don't think its wise to discourage somebody who does so much for the forum.

He isn't discouraging, he's just talking and explaining why he's doing what he's doing. Relax.

Eh. To me it's like this:

Your date makes you dinner but you don't like it.
A) You slip it to the dog and keep mum
B) You say, "I don't like this food. I'm gonna just go make some for myself."

Theo already fixed the problem, so why bother with a post like that?

Hi, thanks for the effort and upload Theo, I get the same thing as Tyrandor. My res is set to 1024x768 so there are bars and menus all over the place that I can't get to.

I cant access any of my hotbar'd skills and such via click (not sure if i HAVE to bind with bongos2 as it just gives me options to tweak the opacity and such) or interact with any npc. I keep getting the same error message when I try and do anything. I only had around 30min or so to play with it and I know a screenie would help but I'm at work atm. I'll post one up as soon as I get home.

Oh please, I think Theo can take it >_>.

What's the add on you use to remove your portrait, change the lines and move the hp/mana for you/target/party around?

You won't be able to click anything but the one hotbar (see the screenshot I have up) that I have showing, nor, as a rogue, should you be clicking.

You ideally should be binding with bongos2, and if you want to, say, have a stealth bar that will change while you're stealthed, I already have bar 3 set up to change. Type "/bob show 3" to show that bar.

Yes Eon, unfortunately your girlfriend will be shocked at the addon explosion that you incurred on your PC. Depending on what class she plays, you can try changing around my bongos configurations to get it to her liking, or if she's a clicker, just show some of the bars and put them somewhere nice and visible. Unfortunately, Pitbull doesn't allow for multiple profiles, so anything she changes in Pitbull or eepanels will be changed for your configuration.

BTW, I really don't take offense to anyone saying that they're turned off from my UI. I made this to help people, not to say that this was the only way to do a UI. If more people jump on the Ace2 train and start using their addons, that's good enough for me. I realize that many people are just like, ********** it, give me an entire package that will look nice and have good functionality, I don't want to know how it works," but others will want to know how everything fits together and how everything works. I applaud what Tyr is doing, because if everyone kept using the same package UI, we'd all still be using the ****** CT mods.

Anyhow, if anyone encounters more problems, let me know. Questions, comments, and concerns can be addressed here. Also, I've stated this in the readme file, but BACK UP YOUR WTF AND ADDONS FOLDERS BEFORE INSATLLING MY UI.
