How To Make a Good UIFollow

#227 Jun 08 2008 at 8:02 AM Rating: Decent
There is a GUI options interface for FuBar. I get to it by typing /rock and picking FuBar from the dropdown list. I believe all the options you're looking for are in there.

Link to my UI:

It is set for 1680x1050. If you have a different resolution, you will need to make some adjustments. Also, it is set around PvP, so there are no raid frames that show up... they are there, but if you want them you have to configure them yourself.

If you don't know how to install a UI comp, try google.

Anyone know how to get rid of the debuff timers on Xperl? I find that I can't see how many poison apps I have on a target becuase of the giant counter on them. Perhaps I need to open up the target debuff icons in Buffalo2 and put them next to my target, maybe like to the right of their head and just turn buff stuff off in Xperl off all together?

Hey Theo, Ive been reading up on this thread tonight (look at the time :S ) hehe. Nice work!

I alrdy have a lvl 70 rogue and a 39 twink rogue, now i wanna make a lvl 49 twink.
because my guild is going head to head with some horde guilds there.
Ive never bothered much with UI's, I have addons for functionality, not so much looks.
So i figured now could be the time, while lvling 1-49 i could puzzle around with it (not much else to do while lvling)

But I havent downloaded your UI yet, im running on a 1024x768 resolution.
And as far as i can see, it will cause some probs, and needs alot of adjudgement (prob beyond my knowledge).

Is it possible for you to make a UI fitted to this resolution? I dont know how much work there would be too it.

If not:

I saw one guy wrote he had same resolution, and tried to download the suggested addons 1 by 1 and fit them in.
Is this the way to go then?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

I refuse to resize my UI.

It's really not that hard as long as you give yourself some time to play around with it.

All the tips and tricks are here in this thread, so feel free to play.

Just make sure you take my advice and copy your WTF folder in case you need to reset your UI.

are there any programs out there that help you to fully customize your UI? i was just thinking that if i were able to, i would want it to be something like the Hud from Ghost recon advanced warfighter 2. like, you know, the transparent green with crazy futuristic military looking stuff too. maybe have all of the icons the same color/type just a little bit darker. it's probably overboard, eh?

Every once in a while (not when i see patches and such) my bongos resets on me and xperl keeps changing settings on its own. The other day, i deleted wtf, cache, and interface folders and started fresh, making sure to download the newest version of the addons i use. If it matters, I use questhelper, bongos3, xperl, and mozz full world map. Just want to know why this is happenening/how I can stop it.
