Im a combat mace rogue (armory and sig) and I'm thinkin of picking a holy/disc priest or a shadow priest to 2v2 with (going for well past 1600). Any gear/hp/tactics or specs?

There isnt that much specc choises. If your partner wants to do some PvP and not get killed right away he needs a Disc/Holy hybrid combo.

Thou i think, Rogue/Priest isnt that well combo from my experience. Just be ready that everyone will highly focus to get your priest partner down and you will eat the CC`s availble.

I've never been much of a pvp person until recently when trying out the Disc/Holy talent build.

It's godly. Truly makes all the difference in arena, and with only a few pieces of pvp gear your longevity is easily tripled. It's also nice if partnered with a fairly squishy dps class, as people most often go for the priest, who if Disc/Holy specced, is significantly harder to kill than the dps.

My enhancement shammy friend and I went 14-1 the other night, lost to a warrior/priest combo. Loads of fun.

And final thought, with a .5 second cast Mass Dispel and some coordination, pallies become a non threat. If your priest can MD fast enough for you to kick a paladins first heal, its gg.

A priest who's at least 41 into Disc is probably going to be best for 2v2, though a 28/33 is still probably pretty formidable (and more capable in 3v3/5v5 imo). The angelform, crit immunity, and healing through crits is nothing short of godlike with good PvP gear. My 5v5 team (MS warrior, DW fury war, lock, me, holy pally) can burst down a holy pally with another healer on them fairly easily, but a 28/33 priest is brutal... and they keep healing after they're dead.

As I heard deep disc priests are great for arena cuz of utility like fast mana burn and mass dispell and high survivability (pain supression and more)

Have no experience with it tho

Right... but both 41-Disc and 28/33 have all of those, but Pain Suppression. Personally, I don't think the 5% extra stam + Pain Suppression + PI is worth giving up Blessed Resilience, Angelform, and better healing, though in 2v2 it will probably be about even.

I am specced for raid healing, and I still do great in 2v2 with a 16/45/0 build. I use spell damage gear, cast dots, fear, shield, heal, and use SW:D as a finishing move. I usually die (no surprise), but in spirit healer form I just heal my mage partner up and top it off with renew and prayer of mending and watch her finish the fight as a ghost. A holy priest is very strong in 2v2.
