Howdy guys and gals. I'm looking to start a Warrior soon. I've read alot of info on there talents and how gear is really important, same with money. But I haven't seen anything that tells you what are good weapon skills to go by. I have a 62 pally thats prot spec so I'm used to having a sword/mace and a shield. Is that common for Warriors or is duel weilding or using 2 handed weapons easier? THanks for any feedback

Using 2h is the most efficient. DW is second best. Boarding isn't very fast leveling, but you don't have to eat/bandage as much/at all.

Also, learn all the common weapon skills. 1h and 2h maces, axes, sword and polearms. You don't have to keep them all skilled up, but you also shouldn't have to run to a city and train weapon skills when The Rockpounder drops and you realize you've been using WW axe since level 30.

Cool thanks for the reply. I wasn't too sure what was good for warriors. I had the same problem with my pally. Mainly used 1h and 2h maces up till I got a better sword. Then I went to those. There all pretty even now but hard to decide which ones to use.

Is DW good for tanking? I think its also using the arm tree correct?

Tanking with shield is customary. And DW is in the fury tree (or most the DW utility is).

Check out my sig (My useful (?) posts) for leveling builds and other cookies!

I went DW for a long time, even in the outlands for 2 levels with quest swords. Until that fatefull day Hellreaver If you looked at my skill in the Armory for polearms I'm about 279ish out of 300. I was 20 levels lower last night :/ Skilling up is not a super fast process for 2H weapons.

However! Point of my introduction is: I had a crit of over 3k on a mob. DW'ing my highest was 1.5k or something. That 3k was with a weapon skill that was well below the cap. So now I'm gonna stick with 2H again.

Either way is fun. 2H makes it seem like you're not doing much, but it has nice rage generation. DW you'll miss a lot. Until you find +hit stuff.

I'm going to stick with 2h for now, might change off after I get two really good 1h weapons.

THanks for the good reply's. Xordon I wasn't too sure about most of the posts but I did like the lvl builds. I guess I need to learn more about the different attacks and what not.

Thats a nice polearm. I'm think'n of try'n to keep most of skills up. So that way if something cool does drop or a sweet quest item comes along I can use it.

Okay, now having looked at some talent builds is Prot not that good. It seems from alot of the builds off WOWiki that not many people put points into it. I'm not too sure if I'll be using a shield, Dw and 2hers seem good to me for a warrior.
