A Meta Gem QuestionFollow

I'm in the process of picking out meta gems for my T4 Helm and hopefully my Merciless Gladiator's Helm as well. I would think that logically the best choice for PvE would be the +3% crit damage and the best one for PvP would be chance to stun target. Does anyone have any input or suggestions or experience with the chance on hit to stun gem?

By the by, I get movement speed on my boots. I have a pair of Edgewalker Longboots right now with Cat's Swiftness but when I eventually get the boots from BGs I'll probably get Boar's Speed, negating the need for the run speed Meta Gem.

Maybe if you are combat maces this would be true, but, and this is my opinion, I would go for the +18 stam & 5% stun resist for PvP.

For PvE I agree with the one you have laid out. I have mine purchased already and need 5 more badges to get the helm for it :)

It actually was once believed to be (I personally have one). However the calculations were off a bit due to internal cooldown and such. The 3% increased crit damage + 12agi is actually the best one going right now for PvE at most gear levels. After the next patch it will be the hands down favorite as haste is being nerfed... :/

I would disagree with that, since we are about to receive a nerf to haste. The best would be the Relentless Earthstorm Diamond(+12 agi, +3% critical strike damage). For PvE purposes.

Edit:and of course Meridus has to post faster. -_-

I go with snare/root resist meta gem for pvp over stun resist: only three classes can stun, but every class has a snare/root of some kind.

yes but rogues already have 4 potential ways to remove "most" snares CloS, vanish, sprint(with spec), trinket.

(Vanish and sprint)x2 with the right spec.

To get out of stuns you have 1, the trinket.

No decent rogue will have double sprint typically.

I had to make the decision yesterday, and actually went with the snare resist to partner with Surefooted.

For a Mut rogue I would say without a doubt you would have to grab the Snare resist to take advantage of stacking that resist field.

It's not the best.

Math proved it over on the EJ forums, especially with the haste nerf coming up in 2.2.
