Due to guild needs I might be respeccing to Holy. What I would like to know is whether Holy/prot or Holy/Ret can still solo and do questing/grinding for reputation.

Thanks

Yes, holy can still solo quest and grind. Just not as fast as protection or retribution.

Although I suggest putting the 7 or 8 points into the retribution tree for Imp. Judgement. Makes grinding a bit easier. You can also take Imp. Blessing of Might this way. The rest should go into the Holy and Prot tree, especially for Kings.

Every Paladin build can solo/grind.

Holy/Prot is better suited for BGs/Arenas. You are trading potential DPS for the added survivability. You can still grind but it will take much longer.

Holy/Ret is the way to go for grinding/solo play. Faster grindage. Less survivability.

Get a +spell damage set if you can, aim for 400.

The only really solo fighting I do anymore is on the flayers for the netherwing daily quest in the mine. I am no rogue, but I kill stuff. Fights are slow but down time is pretty frickin low.

Been trying several times now to complete the AV trinket quest. Never managed to solo the cave before the battle is over.

Once you can party to queue up to AV again I'll take a lock buddy with me.

*sigh*

I think I have too much.

Smiley: inlove Shaman gear.

Anywho, I solo fine. Only time I've recently had problems was with the voidwalker mobs that become highly resistant to the first spell school you attack them with outside Manaforge Ultris.

Wish I'd taken my big axe for that.
