Cloth Armour SetsFollow

#1 Sep 10 2007 at 6:51 PM Rating: Decent
I have just recently hit lvl 59 and am an arcane/fire mage (45/5/0), and now want to know what are the best armour sets available for my level, this is my first character and am pretty clueless on what is essential to become a fully upstopable mage, NB at my current lvl i am also alch 351 and ench 261 which will help with nice modifications to my gear.
So could anyone point out the best armour sets i should start focusing on (i will not be focusing on the pvp rewards system (besides having purchased insignia of the horde) as dont really have the time to constantly go to BG 5-6hrs a time inorder to get full armour sets that are available).

At 59 you still have 11 levels left to go. If you like playing fire take breaks while you are leveling to get a hefty about of primal fires made and rack of tons of cloth. You will most likely want to build your spellfire and spellstrike set at level 70 (or at least have hte mats ready). Oh, and the spellfire set is BoP tailoring, so save up some money to power level that.

Nice thanks so i should not really focus on gettig cloth sets until i hit 70 and are the spellfire and spellstrike the best for my class of mage or generally really good for any spec. I think i can make the g i need with my alch but that poses yet another porblem of not having herb lol and since the prices of stacks on certain plants onmy server range from 20-50g.

I also have another question before i hit 70, with armour i have only been focusing on getting armour that has +int +stam +spell damage which has not been toobad allowing me to have health 3098 Mana 5862 bonus damage 155 (without buffs or pots), but have suffered with str agil etc. Should i continue to do this or focus on +crit now).

First of all, Spellfire is made particularly for arcane or fire mages (frozen shadoweave is for frost mages -- I've made both sets incase I need to switch specs for any reason).

Spellstrike is great for PvE and Battlecast is better for PvP, so decide which one you will want.

Int, Stam, Spelldmg wil continue to be your focus, although you will be balancing for more +Spelldmg as you shouldn't be getting hit as much the more dmg that you stack. The other attributes that you listed (str, agil, etc) are absolutely useless so never pick up a piece of gear with it.

I just got done crafting the frozen shadoweave set and will be starting on my spellfire set for when (not if) I respec. ;-)

Next... I suppose after I herb enough for my epic mount, I'll drop herbalism for enchanting to get that extra +24 spell damage on my rings and to de stuff for cash. ;-) Hmmm... perhaps d/e would make me more money than herbing in the short run too?

Let us know what kind of differnce you see with the frozen shadoweave. I'm lvl 63 frost mage right now and I saw a big difference in PVP when I got two of the field Marshall pieces of gear from Champions Hall.

I haven't gone back into kara since I got it. I'll update when I do, but killing general stuff goes *a lot* faster now. It is very nice, I also get healed +30 at a time when I'm pounding out frostbolts... helps keep the health up (and makes me feel like a shadow priest).
