does dagger specialization just increase crit chance on auto attacks with daggers? or abilities that use daggers like ambush or backstab?
I believe you get the increased crit chance on everything as long as you have daggers equipped.
Edit: Except for attacks that don't use daggers, such as garrote.

Because Garrote can crit mirite?
The Dagger Spec +crit goes right into your total crit%, so it affects everything.
