A quick question: why would a rogue prefer a +AP gem over a +agi gem? As far as i know, the Agi gem gives the same amount of AP as the equivalent AP gem, but also gives crit and dodge.
Is there some reason people are using +AP gems instead? AGI does infact give 2 AP per 1 point, correct?

The reason rogues prefer AP over AGI is because AP gems give a higher overall increase to your DPS than Agility gems. Honestly, why does a rogue need dodge and parry?

I could have sworn that 1 AGI gave 2 Attack Power for rogues only...
Edit: To be a little clearer, I could see why AP is better, but I was under the impression that you got the same AP from an AGI gem, thus having +crit and +dodge was a bonus.

Nope.
1 Agility = 1 Strength = 1 AP.

It depends on your build. With Vitality 8 Agi gems are better than 16 AP gems for me, hence my belt sockets.
Of course if your AP sucks and you crit is at 20%+, you should be socketing AP.

On the above muti question, AGI benefits muti a bit more since it increases your +crit, but really it depends on your stats, if you have decent AP and low crit then get AGI gems for crit/AP, if you have low AP and decent crit then get AP gems.
