Kill CommandFollow

Ok, this is probably going to sound very newbish, but what is the "Kill Command"?

The talent in the BM spec
    Focused Fire
states
Quote:
All damage caused by you is increased by 1% while your pet is active and the critical strike chance of your Kill Command ability is increased by 10%.

But what exactly does that mean? Is there a new button that I have to hit to attactivate the "Kill Command" or is it just the pet attack button?

Thanks

The "Kill Command" is a skill that hunters learns at level 66. When used, your pet instantly attacks for an additional 127 damage on the target. It can only be used after the Hunter lands a critical strike on the target. The Kill Command skill is not passive and it goes on your skill bar, not your pets. You need to manually click it after you deal a critical strike.

The talent in the BM spec increases your damage dealt by 1% while your pet is active and the critical strike chance of the Kill Command skill is increased by 10%. The kill command skill itself can crit. The Kill Command has a 5 second Cooldown.

Give the command to kill, causing your pet to instantly attack for an additional 127 damage. Can only be used after the Hunter lands a critical strike on the target.

For these kinds of questions, there are tons of search options both here on Alla and other sites that will provide you with the answer faster, and more reliably than spending that kind of time here on the boards. When the question is simple, don't waste both your own time, and ours.

A bit testy aren't you? Though I agree with you're point, I don't agree with the way you pointed it out. You didn't have to come off so harsh, no one required you to read the thread, and no one required you to take the time to answer it. The OP didn't waste your time, you are the one that wasted your time. If you felt it was such a waste then you shouldn't have taken the time to answer it.

But despite my oppinion on how you voiced your feelings on the matter, your actual opinion is still a valid one. OP there are several search options that could have taken a few seconds of looking though to find you answer, browse through them, learn them, and love them.

I never did claim to wear silken gloves or that when my mouth opened, it poured rainbows and unicorn farts. However, if you read my post again without immediately jumping to conclusions, you might see that the malice or... heh... harshness didn't actually exist. This is a written medium, and thus the tone of voice doesn't carry over. I answered the question, while giving sound advice. No harshness, no malice. Merely a short, straight answer. With some advice thrown in for good measure.

Don't like it? Well, I've had ratecampers before. They just make me giggle. Feeling my karmacount taking those insignificant little hits just tickles.

While this is a written median, your choice in words does affect the way people read it and can project and imitate a tone. For instance, you can say:

When the question is simple, don't waste both your own time, and ours.

Or you could say something like:

With simple questions, save yourself some time and trouble, and do a simple search.

Both say basically the same thing, but I read the first one as a more aggresive sentence than the second.

As far as the rating, I hope your not accusing me of it, because I don't rate people, up or down, too much of a joke and waste of effort to worry about ratings, so I don't even bother with it.

I put it right next to steady shot button. 2 "spells" I use most. Helps my pet keep aggro. I never figured out the damage/mana ratio, I don't care. It helps my pet retain aggro. but the damage/mana ratio seems pretty good. My pet often crits on these for over 500 (ravager pet with gore9/bite 9). They are my 3 and 4 keys.

Not all answers are found in the forums, there is a tab under spells "Lookup", or you can even view spells by Class. Both are acessable to all lurkers of allakhazam, premium or not, so NorthAI's point is still valid.

All you have to do to look up Kill Command is type that into search, and then click on the "Spells" tab when the results show up.

I notice that some people deal with things different from others. I didn't see anything wrong with North's point and her saying that this was kind of a waste of time.

At the same time where I see the point. It is true that some people may not realise that it is there. With that being said she was slightly harsh but also gave the knowledge of the info and how to find it in the future. I don't see any reason for it to disapear.

Didn't disappear. It went Sub-Default. It tickled a bit.
No matter, it is any Scholar or Higher's prerogative to rate what they feel need rating. This is why the system is there. I've made use of it when I see utter stupidity infesting the forums, and I have no problems with the same system being used by others.
