Question from a noobie hunter... I made the long treck to Eversong words to obtain a springpaw after the first night of leveling with him I logged out, when I returned the next day he was gone and I had my old pet before him in his slot, so assuming it was a glitch I made the treck again obtaining another springpaw. So earlier this mourning I died and was forced to run back to my body. When I revived I called my pet but to my surprise my old lv 7 wolf appeared from many levels back, I abandoned him thinking it glitched out, I kept on trying to call my paw again but to no avail.

So I was forced to tame a bear and start all over again refusing to make another run up to eversong woods, now I did have to install the BC 10 day trial in order to get into eversong woods so I was assuming that was why it was glitching out but this happened with a few pets at lower levels as well.

The next part of my question is how do you swap stable pets, I bought an additional stable but when I arrived at the harbor to do a quest i found the merchant and clicked on an open slot, all of a sudden my current (bear pet) was in the current spot, a spider I tamed at lv 11 was in the second slot that I bought and a lower level boar was in the 2nd slot that I didn't purchase, so how am I to switch pets out to remove them from the slots, it wont let me click on the pets to put them into my current slot, (i'll dismiss my bear so the current pet slot is empty and i'll try to drag the icon but it wont stay in the slot)

I'm assuming I cannot get my Springpaw back, clearing out my stables would be nice really any help would be lovely thanks agin.

There's a bug where 'dismissing' a pet will allow you to tame another pet. 'Dismiss' is a command in your spell book under the general tab. A 'dismissed' pet isn't really gone. Think of him having been placed into a magic pocket. 'Dismissed' pets can be summoned back, another command in your spellbook. However if you die or log out, the most recently tamed pet disappears and the one in the magic pocket will be beside you.

Make sure you 'abandon' a pet before attempting to tame another one. 'Abandon' really discards a pet and it cannot be recovered later. 'Abandon' is found under your pet's avatar but only the big avatar that appears in the middle top of your screen when you have selected your pet as your target.

When the stable window is up, you drag and drop a pet from the stable to the current pet location. After a few seconds you will see you current pet disappear and his icon appear in the stable slot. Similarly the stabled pet that got moved to current pet will appear beside you. 'Abandon' whichever pets you don't want to free up stable slots.
