Challenging roar cdFollow

Doesn't it seem like 10 minutes is a ridiculously long cd for Challenging Roar (as well as War's Channeling Shout)? It's useless in pvp so it wouldn't cause imbalance if reduced to, say, 2 minutes. Wouldn't you think that a big mean ol' dire bear could manage to produce a decent roar more than once every ten minutes???

Think it would do any good for us to start lobbying BLiz for a reduction?

tanking would be waaaaaay too easy - you would never ever have a party member go down before you - so no, I like it as the ****** button it is now

Too easy for 6 seconds maybe. But yeah, 2 minutes is probably too short. 5 would be about right.

it has use in pvp. it causes combat pets affected by it to target you. this includes hunter pets, warlock pets, water elementals, shadowfiends, and anything combat-oriented thats summoned (like servants of barov). this forces the pet owner to manually re-target their primary target (assuming they even have the capability to do so).

sounds useless, but getting a big angry red pet off of your clothie friend for even a second is useful. taunt also works on pets, meaning you, in bear form, could keep big red over there off of your clothie for a consecutive total of about 12 seconds (growl > roar > growl again). thats 2/3 of the duration of beastial wrath where the primary source of damage (the pet) is attacking a very very hard target.

That's brilliant. I'm gonna try that out tonight.

Maybe have a talent tweak to reduce the CD - 1/2/3 points, 2min reduction each point

i think its just fine like it is.
Like said before its the O-sh*t-button. And a good tank shouldnt rely on that talent to tank. if downed to 2 mins you could use it almost every mob-fight...
its not ment to be for that i think

Thanks Quor, I wasn't aware of that. Never even thought of it tbh, but will sure give it a try next chance. Guess that's why they pay you the big money. ;)

Druidserg, yeah, I said in my 2nd post that 2 min was too short. I still think 5 would be more reasonable than 10. Or maybe tacking a stepped reduction onto a talent would be more appropriate, say Feral Aggression or Primal Tenacity.

Just one bears opinion.
