ok frist off im new to posting so dont pummal me with stuff i did wrong or give me some lame *** bull crap about this or that

im a level 64 druid as of right now would be 70 but kinda hard to play when u are in the miltary and in iraq anyway i am balance spec and i love it i have tried doing restro and fearl both good for the people that likes to tank or heal alot but i like challanges and i must say being balance is more of a challange then being restro or fearl but they are fun. (im not trying to dis the other specs im just say that there are more then one way to play a druid and im just thowin one out there) with my druid i did not fill all the balance spec out some of the things there really i have no use for the way i play so i got any and everthing that gives bounes to crits and decast spell time lest say 87% filled in balance table and then everthing else im outing in restro need OOC for sure lol anyway basclly im focusing on my crits of my spells so most of my armor is plus to crits OR its ups the spell damage right now thats what i focus on at this point i have a 11.45 crit % and magic spells are at a pluse 386 and healings at 465 which as far as i know is pritty good i have a bit over 2 k armor not to bad i guess lol and my main fouce for stats are stamina for life int for the magic and the plus to crits and then sprit cuz we all know how druids run though mana like its nothing thats what i focuse on so now how i play my druid

frist i start out by casting starfire which most of the time hits around 1100 but more afton then not its crits around 2300 give or take some. it also as a chance to stun

2nd i cast roots which will stop them in there tracks and does around 500 dmg

3rd i will cast insect sworm wich does around 900 dmg in 12 sec

4th i cast moonfire and it hits for avrage 500 dmg and then 8 to 900 dot also it likes to crit for about 750 :)

5th i will cast wrath or starfire agin both crits alot and then i repeat the steps over if the roots go away or the dot goes away

6th if need be pop a life bloom or 2 to heal up

also i like to have fun and take more then one on at a time and with the tress i can take 3 level 65 on and be ok roots one tress attack on and then i take the other one on but make sure u use insect sworm on the one thats attacking the trees and then dot the guy thats cought in the roots and bet the crap out of the guy thats on u and dont for get to lifebloom your self and to use rejuventaion spell tooo

ok so thats more or less how i play and for healing i have to say with the pluses to my crits i can heal really good in raids most of the time i protect the spell casters if a guy jump on them i take them on and i also heal alot but i do alot of dpsing to so really i do a bit of everthing in raids but tanking

well thats a bit about the balance spec and how to play it in one way which there are 100 or so ways to play it if u have anything to add please feel free to just dont be an *** saying thats stuped and ****

I skip the root on caster mobs. They may come and whack me a time or two with their staff, but it is minimal damage. Other than that, I throw the same spells at mobs till they are dead. :)

A couple other things came to mind when soloing...

I occasionally swap in a feral staff when I'm low on mana and whack mobs to get some mana back. This is when I'm running out of options (e.g., potion down, treants down, out of mana, etc.) due to overpull, runner that brought friends, etc. It can get you enough mana back for a wrath to finish off a mob.

I tend to use my treants as an "Oh Crap" button rather than hitting it every time it refreshes. They can hold their own against an add quite well. Just make sure you toss a nuke or dot on the mob they are fighting or you won't get kill credit if they do all the damage.

Uhm.

In my experience, dots on a rooted mob = bad. Every time you damage a mob that is rooted, there's a chance it'll break roots. You're just asking for trouble with damage ticking every 3 sec. (Yes, I know the roots themselves deal damage, but I've done enough rooting to know that Moonfire on one of em will get you killed if you're trying to keep your distance.)

well sorry for the puincuation

anyhow i noticed when u are lower level the roots do tend to let go but now that im higher level roots stay on longer and i can cast just about anything and they do not break. i have been useing roots all thought the outlands naver haveing any problems with spells interfareing with roots sometimes when i do use moonfire the roots sometimes let go but more afton then not im fine maybe thats just me but if we can get a few more druids to comment about the roots i would like to here from them.

I use roots and dots all the time.

If you have enough distance between you and the mob, you can easily reapply a root if it breaks or just "tank" through it and burn the mob down with wrath and moonfire spam.
