Hi im a mage,
i was wondering why when i blink behind a mage winding up a pyro it cancels
but when i do that to a lock while he is casting fear i still get feared

All CC (Polymorph, Fear, Cyclone, Hibernate, Entangling Roots, whatever) spells are omni-directional.

So are all other dots without any initial dmg (so that excludes Immolate) I think.. (not being a warlock myself) - Seeing how unstable affliction is the only dot with casting time you have I might aswell say that UA doesnt depend on LoS either.

I do believe that Death Coil is NOT omidirectional. I tried all my dots with may back to the target, and only Death Coil failed (Or was it Shadowburn?)

i've never been able to cast immolate with the enemy behind me, although fear and banish both cast any direction.

I don't personally consider d/c a "dot" - although you do get "two?" ticks of hp for the duration? It's more like a fearing/healing shadowbolt *shrugs*.

Besides, imo an omni-directional d/c seems a little overpowered; also unneeded. I'd rather have one that cuts through a Rogue's CoS.

Any spell that doesn't cause direct damage is omnidirectional.

I wish we could cast CoD on players; it isn't direct damage, and a few rampaging mobs in bg sounds fun.

Maybe I just like the thought of a lock 1-hit killing people while hiding behind some bushes ;p

I was watching mage dueling a rogue few times last night and you know what? Frost mages are sooooo OP I think it stinks too.

I am deliberately avoiding the fact that the mage in question is a pretty good PvPer and definitely better geared.
