A melee class.

Pally or Druid is killer.. emergency heals, and if specced prot/feral, you always have a tank for a group.

I've done 5 man quests with just me and a really good feral druid. Prot pallies are good. Shadow Priests and locks play off each other really well, too.

once the lock gets searing pain, teaming up with a warrior or rogue is a good idea. they put hamstring / crippling poison on the mob while you kite tank it. means you can easily kill harder mobs

Oh man, level a BM hunter. He can spec felguard. You both just set your pets on Aggressive, walk out into the middle of a zone, and AFK.

How would that help anything? JW, you wont get loot, or anything i can think of.

Hmm.

Two things.

For a duo leveling team, warrior "can" be good, the class IS the best for tanking, even if not specced full prot. Cant heal worth a dog's hind end tho, so limits the massive pulls a druid/pally=lock combo can pull off.

Rogues have CC. thats about it. get 2-3 = lvl mobs on them.. and your gonna be doing CC as a lock. you cant heal, neither can he.....

Remeber an essential part of leveling is making sure you have good gears.
2 people, that want to level fast, do some instances (tho not as many as you can)

Loki, is kinda right about doing it with a BM hunter.. but it will suck until he gets the pet rage thing. And if Loki had read, you said anything BUT a hunter.

I still say a feral druid or a pally. nothing like a tanky pew pew that can heal.

The only class I've had problems with is duoing with is a rogue. It's not because a rogue doesn't supply enough DPS - he does. It's due to the interminable wait while the rogue sneaks.

LOL basically Loki mean that your pets will pretty much kill ANYTHING solo if specced for them. lol

I leveled from 1-70 with a mage.
We each rolled what we liked and then did our best to play together. I admit it was bit irritating when he was fire and I was affliction - he would usually kill stuff while I was still dotting and was pulling tons of aggro from my pet.
Now he is frost and I am demo and it goes smooth.

Our next best friend is rogue and I play with him a lot too. I even find him more suitable but then he is much calmer personality irl and tends to watch over me a lot.

When I team with some other people, no matter what class they play, I feel like I got into wrong channel or something. I simply cant predict their moves and fit in like I can with my friends.
We play our alts together too. We have warriors, hunters, pallies, locks and priests and no matter what combination of classes we might play that day we fit together great.

So I would say it depends much more on time spent together learning to complement each other than actual class you play.
I think you should roll whatever seems most fun to you.

ok im thinking about a warrior, rogue, priest, shaman, mage or druid.
and he has a voidwalker so we dont really need a tank.

Try a Frost Mage. I went from 1-70 with him and I really don't remember taking any damage.

I've heard a shadow priest compliments a lock rather well.

ok its rogue warrior druid or shammy.

to the above poster why is an ehancement shammy godly with a demonolist?
heck!what is a enhancement shammy?

when i go out with my lock firend on my priest it is just rediculous. i mean we just tear through ****. we both dot and then usually just wand things to death to save mana. and with VE i keep us pretty healed the whole time without having to leave shadow form. and once i hit 50 and get VT then i will be able to keep our mana pretty high too.

that is just my opinion though. unless the mob or pvper we are attacking is highly resistant to shadow (never likley). we are pretty unstopable. hehe.

My bad... It was late when i posted last time... I meant demonology warlock and elemental shaman
Anyway... the reason i say this is because my felguard with totem of wraith and windfury totems is unstoppable.

My friend and i find they complement one another very well...

At mid to upper levels, you can essentially play well with any class, provided you can change your play-style. I'd say that a few classes that stand out as good partners include shadow priests, frost mages, pallys, shammys, and druids.

kk i decided to become a priest with my demonology friend
and its working very well.
u see he can take up to 5-10 mobs at a time with his minion + he curses them all making them die slowly and i heal the minion when needed :)
meaning we do quests very fast
ty guys :)

I hung out with a Pally and that was a sweet combo between his retribution kicking in constantly and my dots nothing stood for long. Also great was that he could heal my pet and so could I so a near pet death could be brought up to full very quickly!

I farm with my lvl 70 warlock buddy and we kick ***** I'm fury ATM and when he wants to get shards, we just go to Terroker Forrest and kill the spiders and wolves. He sometimes doesnt have time to drain soul and says i need to lay off a bit. Nontheless we have been playing together for a while and the only thing we're not good at together is 2v2 Arena's. We both get pissed off at the other cuz we're perfectionists. Gratz on being a priest. Have fun and be glad you have a DPS class to help you level or it would take you a while!

IMO, the best matchup for a warlock when grinding is a healer.
When you reach your thirties, have the warlock focus on +shadow/spell dmg only and spec affliction. If he's got more than about +200 shadow dmg around lvl 40 then mobs at your lvl will go down from his three DoTs.
So all you have to do is have him run around and DoT upp all targets in sight while you heal him and loot the corpses.

And as a bonus, you won't have any trouble finding groups to play instances

My cousin played a Warlock and his friend Played a Mage. They seemed to play well together. He would use his pet as a tank and watch the mob's health fall while they both casted and shot.

i love being priest/warlock.i almost have to do nothing at all, only when we are soloing a group of 15 mobs i might need to press the heal button sometimes but for the rest i just follow my lock and get exp doing nothing :)
