I say Draenei because, well, they ARE paladins at heart!

Lol, 17 views and no one has an opinion.

That's cause it's pointless, they all have different strengths and weaknesses that can help or hinder in certain aspects of the game and not in other aspects. In the end it doesn't matter that much, more of a personal preference than anything.

Blood Elf is the best Ally Paly race? ... You're sick =P

To the OP, no need to get worked up at CapJack. It's a little annoying people ask the same question over and over when there is no answer for it. Now if you had stated that people give opinions, that's different. So, please show the regulars here the respect they deserve.

I was thinking of doing a dwarf pally for tanking. My BE is for healing. Not that I have time for another char right now. But in the future I might like to try dwarf pally tanking.

I do want to make sure it isn't the "wrong" race. I realized only later my human priest is the wrong race because she doesn't have fear ward. Not that I intend on doing any end game stuff with her. But I still hate being told I'm the wrong race.

Only the "wrong race" if you want something that is racial only. Other than that, there is no such thing as a "wrong race". There are some races that have a slight advantage at a certain class, but it really makes little difference in the long run. Using you as an example: you could say Blood Elves are the right race for a healadin cause Mana Tap, but what about Draenei's HoT heal racial, Gift of the Naruu? Dwarves make ideal tanks, but what about Human's + to weapon skills? As stated before, it's all about personal preference. If there were "wrong races" they probably wouldn't be able to be that particular class, or if so, there'd be a lot of screwed over players in this game simply because they took the "wrong race".

I didn't mean to imply BE's are for healing. That's just my preference. As they are the only horde one I didn't have much choice (though lately I've been liking alliance a little better- I'm bored with horde quests- but I'm still horde at heart).

I'm bad with racial abilities though. I always forget to use them. I so often forget to use mana tap. Especialy in instances when I'm healing. I should keep some stored up for a little mana boost on a tough fight when I'm low on mana. I find the silencing ability not so useful in pve. 2 seconds isn't very long. 2 secs is a bit longer in pvp, but I don't do much of that, so I wouldn't know.

BE racials > all for PvP, but they're just a little overpowered in general and that's not in any way exclusive to Pallies.

PvE... well, BE's racials still win by a landslide, but their unique Seal blows, so... I'd probably go with Draenai. All in all though, Paladins are probably one of the least racially affected classes.

i usually answer this question like everyone else, "race makes no diff in end-game".

But i got to thinking, most of end-game is all about rep farming. So NOW i have to say HUMAN, for the rep bonus.

Basically, I've been told the best race for a paladin is what you want to stare at for hundreds of hours.
Best advice that I can give...

Well the only thing it is useful for in PvE as someone on the front ends is to pull a caster mob a bit further back. If you dont like their position and they insist on spamming spells instead of moving. A quick silence and run back will get a few more feet out of them. Sometimes that can mean a big difference in whether or not it will grab aggro.

Also, mana tap to pull in the absence of other spells.

I'd say dwarf female because of the cool casting annimation with my characters pigtails.

Plus stoneform is handy in some situations.

(slight side note - male draenei on a paladin mount, just don't do it)
