Good Arena Partners for the MageFollow

I will be starting arena soon to get the merciless gladiator set, and I was curious what a good 2s team would be involving the mage. I've heard good things about a holy paladin partner, but I would think the damage output would be lacking despite the advantage of a healer in plate. Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

WHat spec do you have ?
I think that 2 frost mage can beat everyone ^^

that or two ap+trinket+pom pyros can normally take down at least one guy.

I'm currently an arcane/fire mage with points concentrated in damage talents. I thought about having another POMpyro mage partner, but I didn't know how effective that would be. If that team does indeed work, I would enjoy nothing more than two 5000pt crits on a single person right at the start. Ouch =)

Better hope it isn't against a team with a shaman (grounding totem) or that you are not facing a frost mage (ice block), or a paladin (bubble)... hmm doesn't seem so fool proof afterall :-/

All of which are easily countered.
Ice lance to poke out the grounding totem, make sure to do it twice, only an 8 second cooldown.
For the ice block just nuke them from point blank range, so they have no time to react.
And for the pally, just kill the other guy first and cs the pally, easy enough :P.
Either that or force a bubble with sheep/random damage.

im planning on making my mage pom pyro with an elemental shaman (with elemental mastery and natures swiftness) so we can open fights with an instant chain lightning +pyroblast combining for around 8k damage, wich added with his shock and my fire blast (another 2-4k) will = 1st enemy dead, little matter who they are, then just overpower the second foe

As a frostie I used to love teaming with a hunter. Old school frost trap to shatter off of. four on one.

my ret pally has Eye for an Eye. i usually let the mages throw 2 crits at me which returns 30% back to the mage. then bubble heal back to full and death to squishie.
