Hey guys,

I recently rolled a Warrior and noticed when I change stances, from balanced to defense, then back to balaced... My abilities on my hot bars disapear! I am not sure if this is due to the use of Bongos or not... However I have never had any trouble like this with my other characters... Then again, the other classes I play don't 'switch' stances so...

Could it be something with bongos? Am I doing something wrong?

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated...

Thank you!

You get a new action bar for each stance. Have to drag them down again when you change stances for the first time. Since not all abilites can be used in all stances.

If your abilities in battle stance disappear when you change out then back into it, it sounds like a problem with your bar addon.

Thank you for the reply! I use Bongo's for my action bars... Not sure if not many Warriors use that? I use the same set up for all my characters, but Maybe it won't work out with my Warrior. hmm...

I had figured what you had mentioned (each stance gets it's own unique action bar) However, I had placed abilities while in the Balanced stance. As soon as I received my defensive stance, I switched and the abilities stayed in tact on the bar. It was only when I swapped back to Balance stance, that I had noticed the abilities were wiped clean off the bar. They would re-appear if I switched back to Defensive!!!

This topic reminds me of a problem I recently encountered. Would it be possible to write a macro for overpower when I'm tanking in defensive stance? Right now I'm manually hitting the Battle Stance hotkey, then the Overpower hotkey, then the Defensive Stance hotkey. Could someone write me a macro that does all three?

Thanks

not all at once, but you could write a conditional macro that changes stance if you're not in battle stance, and does overpower if you're in battle stance. The macro sticky explains how to do that.

However, if you're in defensive stance you should be hitting revenge all the time and not really using overpower. You'll keep more rage that way, even with stance mastery.

Bongos gave me a lot of trouble with Stances, but i finally figured out what makes it tick.

Basically, bongos designates certain bars for certain stances. For example, if you have 8 action bars, you can designate it so bar 6, 7, and 8 represent battle, defensive and berserker stance.

This is currently what i have set up right now. When I switch into defensive stance, Bongos will shift Action bar 1 with Action bar 7; when in battle stance, action bar 1 with action bar 6, etc.

To accomplish this, right click on action bar 1, and go to stances. You should see several slider bars, 3 of them labeled "Battle", "Defensive", and "Berserker". Now, say you have 8 bars, and you want Bongos to replace action bar 1 with action bar 8 when you switch into Berserker. Simply drag the slider until it says 7, meaning action bar 1 will jump 7 spots to action bar 8 when switching stances to berserker.

Then, you can drag your abilities for berserker mode into action bar 8. Once you are finished, go to the visibility options for Bongos, and turn off action bar 8, so that it effectively becomes invisible until you switch into Berserker stance, in which case it will show up where action bar 1 is.

Repeat this for your remaining stances, keeping in mind that you must drag the sliders in the Stances menu of action bar 1 to designate which bars are replaced. So if you drag the Battle Stance slider to the number 4, Bongos will switch action bar 1 with action bar 5 when switching into battle stance, etc.

Hope this helps, it literally took me hours of toying around and experimenting to figure it out, the guides online did not help at all.
