Rogue fun? Follow

Is playing rogue fun? What are the advantage, and disadvantage from your personal experience. Do they have good attack? Is pickpocketing good?

yes

advantage fast killing. disadvantage?- can't think of any- though I know some pvp types have some complaints. good attack?- yes. pickpocketing good?- yes

my answers are vague because the questions are vague. What classes have you played before? Do you like to get up close an personal with a mob? Then warrior or rogue is for you. Warrior have armor to mitigate damage, we have faster killing and more dodges to mitigate damage.

Disadvantage is survivability.

Hunters, Locks, and healing classes all have better survivability than rogues.

We make up for it by being able to pull off some crazy burst damage and some great cooldowns.

I rarely die. granted, I don't have end game experience. so keep this in mind. AOE's from end game bosses scare me :). I'll get there eventually... we have vanish and sprint for solo grinding after all. Though I rarely even have to use vansish. Bad pugs is the only reason I use any flash powder at all. group wipe, I vanish and try jumper cables. only worked for me once, however.

Yeah, when I was leveling I found little problem with my rogue... other than the simple fact the vanish doesn't work half the time but that's beside the point. Quests are simple as you can stealth to wherever you need to go. You can burn down multiple mobs as combat speced and pretty much all that fun stuff.

I'd say one of the major advantages of playing a rogue is the ganking part.

At the lower levels, this is where ganking really gets to shine. And if you weren't already aware; if there is something the rogue is extremely good at, it's ganking!

At 70, ganking gets really dull. You can go back to hellfire peninsula and one-shot lvl green geared lvl 60's who just came from Azeroth. This gets boring fast, as there is no challenge.

You can also wreck up people doing daily quests, but no one really cares or bothers do fight back anyway, because they are doing their daily money farming routine to save up for the night's raid buffs etc. Feels like ganking chinese gold farmers tbh - no responses.

You can also go do Halaa which is kinda fun when enough people are participating.

But the real fun is lowbie vs lowbie world pvp. Following that 41 warlock around on your 39 rogue for several minutes - waiting for the right moment to strike. It's thrilling, it's epic, it's exciting and it's class defining!

Leveling a rogue is awesome fun!
