So yesterday me and this BM hunter got to 1650, but sadly we vs.'d the same warrior/pally team and lost it 3/3 times. Then the MS war in my team + the ele shammy lost even more and now we're down to 1561. Anyone know a really reliable 2v2'er? I'm thinking of a druid, but good ones that aren't in high rated 2v2's are very difficult to find. Any class/spec suggestions?

Discipline Priest. Lock down their damage while the Priest manaburns their healer, and he can toss you spot heals as well. Very effective against Warrior/Paladin combos if you can keep the Warrior from smashing your (or the priests) face in.

also resto druid. or even feral. cyclone will make things a 2v1 for a good 10s at a stretch (three consecutive casts) and the druids ability to heal and run makes for a very good support class. plus you both start out stealthed, which gives you an initial surprise advantage too.

I never really tried 2v2'ing with a priest. Usually when I 2v2 and I see a priest, I always go for them. If other DPS classes think the same, how will the priest fair against a DPS/DPS team?

very well, since you as a rogue can make it a dps vs priest. all your priest has to do is the occasional dispel on you to make sure you can keep moving. warriors will give you trouble (as their snare is undispellable) but any other snare wont bother you (even wing clip, since crip = wing clip in power, and is longer in duration).

just make sure your priest specs 28/33 for imp mass dispel, imp mana burn, and blessed resilience.

An PvP geared disc/holy priest can take a beating, especially with a rogue working on killing 1 of the DPSers in a 2dps team. Remember, they have no healing, so they will tend to freak out a bit more when you start beating on them. Remember, the priest has to have some PvP gear to truly be effective. There is a huge difference between a holy priest speced and geared for raiding and a priest who is focusing on arena.

Lol yeah I hear you. The priest I got is 21/40/0, but she's basically full epic. Even so, she got literally stepped on by a DPS/DPS team in like 3 seconds >_>. Hope she respecs soon :P.

yes, clothies as a whole really tend to underestimate resilience as a pvp stat for some reason. at least the ones new to arena play do.

Depends on the epics. In full raid epics T4/5 a priest will get eaten alive by pretty much any DPS class - but especially rogues/warriors. PvE gear has no resiliance on it, and priest PvE gear isn't really known for having gobs of stamina. Our raiding priests are squishy as hell until they respec and put on their PvP healing gear. 400 resiliance and 3k more hp definitely do make a difference.

SL/SL Lock
Disc/Holy Priest
Frost Mage.

My late, but viable 2v2 partners. Check my sig, 2 of those 3 are VERY viable in 2v2.
