I'm very tired of the "combat swords ftw" comments. I was looking at the talent calculator and thaught "why not have a build that has the juicy good openers of daggers and the consistent damage of the swords" so i came up with this:

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=i0xZG0EbbEzx0MoxAM0c

I was wondering how it would fare in pvp, pve, raids, 5-mans, BG, arena, etc. I figure you can open with an awesome ambush and get crazy dps from the specializations. Extra 10% crit to dagger MH is nice and the extra swings can make the crits proc more often and just do more damage in general. I tried to put enough points into sub for the ambush crits and focus on combat for general fight damage. Thanks in advance for the input :]

Any build reliant on Ambush isn't going to produce the results your hoping for. After all the stamina and resi people are stacking its a near worthless talent. So, I'd have to say that build is trash. Oh yeah, probably should of told us what weapons you were planning on using too.

Ambush is very situational, using it in an instance/raid as an opener just makes you vulnerable to grabbing agg before the tank has time to settle the situation.

Picking both dagger and sword spec is 10 talent points and IMO a total waste of talents. You should be picking one or the other, combat daggers or comabt swords.

If you want an all round viable dagger spec then I suggest mutilate (41/0/20 for more PvP orientated combat or 41/20/0 for more PvE combat)

Good idea on paper, but I'm sure the results will be rather poor.

If you're going to mainhand a dagger, might as well offhand one too - daggers are faster and the combat potency will proc more with a faster weapon.

Also - a double attack with a dagger is nothing too amazing.

And like the person said above, ambush isn't that sexy, it's wiser just to use garrote on an instance level mob for a nice DoT that won't pull aggro to you.

Cheap shot in PVP, that way you can control the situation much more.

Also - why the 5% parry but no riposte?
If you're going to get the parry, might as well spend the extra point or not get the parry at all, get Imp Kick instead or maybe Aggression.

Just my opinion.

Pretty much any build worth using is already posted in one form or another in the FAQ's up top. Your build wastes alot of points such as the parry ones Elyn pointed out. You will also have crap for CP generation, something that combat builds already do somewhat slowly.
