I need help, bad.Follow

#1 Aug 18 2007 at 7:57 PM Rating: Decent
Ok, I really like pvp. The action, the thrills, amazing.
But the thing is, I'm not very good. I don't know whats wrong, my build, my gear, or maybe I just suck.

I'm not here to QQ about how rogues need a buff. I'm here asking for help.
Tips, anything that could help me in pvp.

Thank you in advance.

Get a medallion of the alliance.

Get all the epic honor PvP gear that you can (The veteran's stuff mostly).

Get improved sprint and improved kick.

Save up your arena points from your 5v5 team and get your Merc. Glad Main Hand mace, get a blue mace anywhere for an offhand, and respec maces.

For low end arenas and PvP, you might want to try a different build than combat, maybe like hemo.

1.) Stack Resilience/Stamina. Most important stats in pvp.
2.) Learn more about the other's class than they know about yours. Rogue is one of the harder classes to dominate with, it's not like warrior/warlock where you can just kind of get good gear and *** rape everyone. You have to know what you're doing to be any good.
3.) Learn how to fight in a GROUP. This is the downfall of many pvp'rs: they don't know how to use their abilities as a team. This includes learning to protect healers!

There's really nothing else I can tell you without asking specifics. What classes in particular give you problems?

Note, the three "hard" fights for rogues (in order) are:

1.) Warriors of any type.
2.) Holy Paladins
3.) Frost Mages w/ all cooldowns up.

Edit:

You can be good at pvp without having to spec combat maces. It's just easier if you are combat maces heh.

I'm working on the Sta and resilience thing, I've got 122 and 8914 Sta unbuffed.

And the basic classes you named I'm having trouble with. (getting auto attack critted for 3k makes me sad.)

And I have since lost my arena team. So no way to get Arena Points. =/
I bought http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=32661&locale=enUS;source=live
for my OH. (Due to some ******* epicced out warrior stealing my Blackout Truncheoun....boy did that **** me off.)

But since respeccing combat from Mut I cant really time my kicks right, and that throws me off terribly.

Yeah, pretty much what they said. Except instead of getting the s2 MH mace I'd get the OH and make the BS hammers for your MH. They're easier to get and more powerful. The apexis mace's stats aren't any good for PvP. Other than that just keep stackin stam/resi.

One more thing..

I would change that to..

1.) Frost mages
2.) MS Warriors
3.) Protection Paladins
4.) *PvP geared* Resto Shamans

Most of the other classes you shouldn't have too much trouble droppin.

duel friends for hours, ask them to either do something or not do anything so you can figure out timeing. ask them to only use a skill set so you can figure out how to counter balance it, then repeat for another skill. then have them pvp normal..figure out what your haveing a problem with. dont always start duel out in stealth because in bg you wont be able to start every fight that way....practice and become a macesmith =)

BGs don't matter.

Start every 1v1 stealthed, because odds are you're going to start stealthed in the arena.
