Raid SpecFollow

So i know that combat swords/fists/mace are more ideal for raiding but does combat dagger really lose that much to those specs? i was considering to go combat daggers only because i cannot get good swords or fists yet but every rogue i know is just simply saying that im a noob. i thought combat daggers are probably not the best but does it really fall taht far behind from swords/fist/maces?
