heya what do you think of this build for pve and pvpFollow

#1 Aug 15 2007 at 5:09 PM Rating: Decent
ok well my story is im a skint little pvp rogue currently a typical seal fate hemo build for pvp/arena,

thinking of trying kara but i will still have to do my arena's 10 games, so tricky dilema

reckon this would work?

http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/rogue/talents.html?0010000000000000000000053552122050105000000005002530002301210000000

sustained damage bonus from combat also the nice anti CC abilities from sub, also ive grown very fond of the stealthy side :)

i dont know enough about pve to know if this would work, but for pvp i think it could be quite good, espically aginst mages

thanks,
your friendly neiborhood hemo rogue

Drop Hemo and go full combat.

EDIT: Hemo and Seal Fate suck together, btw.

I agree totally. Combat nowadays in considerably the BEST PvP/PvE spec. And the reason why hemo and seal fate suck together is because hemo doesn't have the extra +30% crit chance backstab has, which makes Seal Fate not worth the 5 points in this situation. Also, you will be getting little sustained damage w/ nothing invested in ruthlessness/relentless strikes; Your Hemo will crit for sh*t w/o lethality, as it already is a downgrade in damage compared to SS.

yes but i dont like full combat for pvp :S

also my build does work,

in responce to the other post 30/0/31 DOES have lethality so my hemo's do quite a nice ammount of damage, with prep and cold blood when i need to crit i know i can :)

still i need that fecking latro's to drop, coz i will go full combat swords if it does, untill them im hemo :)

Why ask for help and not take anyone's advice? Nowadays you CANNOT beat combat at lvl 70, it destroys in PvP and it will definitely give the biggest numbers in PvE.. theres no question about it.

ok well once i get the gladiator's offhand sword i will spec combat swords, i have yet to try it, i wasent not taking his advise- i was just saying that my current build is immense, but for raiding i was wondering how the one i linked would work,

If you already know it works, why are you even posting? You asked for criticism, and you got it.

To be perfectly honest, that build is absolutely awful. I'll actually go through the trouble of explaining why.

1. 36 points in Combat and no AR, but you put a single point in Malice? You're an idiot.

2. 36 point in Combat and no points in Nerves of Steel for a PvP build? You're an idiot

3. 5/5 Lightning Reflexes and no Imp. Gouge for PvP? You're an idiot.

4. Fewer than 15 points in Assassination at 70? You're an idiot.

5. No Ghostly Strike with that many points in Subtlety for a PvP build with a fist? You're an idiot.

I could go on, but I think you get the point. Your build is trash. If you think it "works", you're an idiot. If you're outdamaging anything in PvE, they're probably tanking or mildly retarded. If you're beating anyone in PvP, they must have builds just as bad as yours, or are playing with their feet.

TBH, i already dont consider my self, in the least, in league of the good rogues, but i can say i pretty much know what not to do [i.e. ss + daggers etc....]. But trying to not insult you the best way possible that i agree with the others and that your build is probably the second funniest ive ever seen. my rogue [kithe - Tichondrious] is cold blood + prep. and its not the best for pvp but i jsut play with it for teh hell of it because so far i am not heavily into pvp just yet, but it seems to do its job. Anyways, the build ive seen thats funnier than yours is off a rogue named Gaun - Tichondrious

] and he is wielding Ced's Carver and Nag'heri Fury Brand.
^ i swear he's not noob!!

And i say the same thing to you as i did him. somethings just dont work. i mean i guess i can see why you tried that build but i strongly suggest respeccing for better and optimal damage output and efficiency. Even if it cant be combat sword it should be something that will work better. Like if u read some of the builds in Nooblesticks and pretty base your spec off some of those it should work better for you

If you like Hemo and still want to do a good amount of damage in pvp/pve (not as much as 17/44/0, you will have more control over your fight in a 2v2 setting.

Get a slow MH Mace/Fist/Sword(2.7 or slower)and stack AP

26/3/32
[link=http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fhe0oxhobZhZxMe0MGRsxo/]

However 17/44 or a variation will do more damage than 21/0/40, 26/3/32, or 23/3/35, unless you have insane gear.

Cheers Lokia

Honestly if you want a good pve/pvp build, go mutilate. My 70 rogue is mutilate spec'd and I kill pretty much everything before my stunlock is over. Mutilate is insanely easy to farm/kill with. http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Uldum&n=Moonsina is the armory link for my rogue if you wish to check it out.

The best PvE/PvP spec is combat maces.

Fact.

his rogue is not named 'Gaun", but 'Ginsu'.

oh, and if there's anyone who knows how to play the rogue, its nooble.
hes one of the most experienced, patient and wise people on the rogue board.
there are a few others with him, that calling morons isnt a good idea.

and even then, he can be from both us and eu.
on top of that, since when is gear=skill ??
